RIP Robin Williams. A genuine genius. This movie was the kind of adventure movie the 90s was really good for. It holds up really well and is still very enjoyable. A big part of that is Robin Williams' performance. And although it took a LONG time to get there, the sequels are really good, too.

the original Jumanji was a classic despite some dated cgi but since it is magically summoned creatures the unnaturalness can be excused

@@RYMAN1321 The Force is better explained in A New Hope rather than the Phantom Menace, which could leave viewers confused if you started the story there. This order also keeps the reveal of Darth Vader as Luke’s father. Going back in time to see his father’s fall to the Dark Side shows how he turned and that there is still good in Vader. It also parallels Luke’s temptation by the Dark Side and ends in a positive note with Anakin’s redemption and fulfilling of the prophecy.

Another Robin Williams classic is “Patch Adams” based on a real doctor of the same name, very good movie plus I was an extra in that movie! I met Mr. Williams and he was an amazing soul, his death was a terrible loss!

The boys were bullying Alan simply because they were jealous of his family's money and influence. The factory his father owned employed half the town, likely including at least one of the parents of those boys. It is possible they heard their parents complain about Alan's father and sough revenge for the wrong done upon their own parents, though by all accounts Mr Parish was a decent employer, at least for the time. Most likely they were simply pissed off their family didn't have as much money as the Parish's. The actress who played the aunt, Bebe Neuwirth, became quite famous for her roles in two of the most popular sitcoms in US TV history, Cheers and Frasier. Robin Williams was so well known and beloved around the world that even now, seven years after his death, people who never met the man still miss him, including this guy.

Classic! Im so happy you guys got to watch this one, I would not recomenned watching the sequels to Jumanji, I guarantee they are not great at all. I'd like to see a reaction to a spoof comedy like Airplane because it is so absurd. And some more action movies like Beverly Hills Cop 1+2. Gremlins 1 + 2 would be funny as they are horror but not too gross. Other spoofs would have to wait until they have seen the movies they are parodying but Naked Gun 1+2 may be another. Hot Fuzz is one too but they may have to see some more action/police movies first such as Point Break, Bad Boys and Die Hard or they won't understand the jokes/satire. They seem to like Arnie so I recommend Commando, True Lies and Eraser.
