That's a great advancement for the old Rank- no doubt a solid reliable scanner.

Does this scan the film line by line or a full frame flash?

Do you still have PCI boards to capture the data stream from Cintel C-Reality machines?
@cinepost2 жыл бұрын
We never owned a c-reality. What is the output/input you are needing?
@GregorPQ2 жыл бұрын
@@cinepost Output is a 100-way AMP connector. The PCI board should have the same connector. This is what the manual says: "The 2k buffer board is mounted on the PCB M102504. The input signals are converted from TTL to LVDS and fed via a 100-way AMP connector to the C-Reality rear termination panel. Another 100-way connector carries the data to a monitoring box where it can be viewed on a progressive scanned monitor. The same data is also passed to a PCI board currently mounted within an SGI Octane." As it is a data signal I suppose the conversion to DPX files is done by the PC via the scanning software?

Is the Blackmagic option a better alternative?
@cinepost4 жыл бұрын
Peter Olejnik for some people it definitely is. Our setup is driven by wanting to continue the use of our Wetgates which has not been seen with Blackmagic machines.
