Major mukund's grandfather Raghavachari and two of his uncles also served in the army and this motivated him to join the Armed forces. This is given in wikipedia. But in the movie when sai pallavi asks sk whether his family is army family, his reply was veetukum army kum sambandame kidayathu . When u are giving importance to even small details, why u want to hide major mukund's background?

Completely agree. Although I loved the movie and found it haunting , I haven't been able to get over the fact that the portrayal of Major Mukund Varadarajan's family is completely misleading . The non- disclosure of the birth identity and close relatives having served in the armed forces, the fact that his mother knew to read, write and speak Malayalam, the downplaying of the mother- son bonding, trying to establish that Major Mukund used to address his father as Nayina all the time when actually he used to do it very rarely and only when in a teasing mood and most importantly not depicting the stoic demeanour of the family when Major Mukund passed away. The entire narrative has been changed. All the above are obvious to the discerning viewer from posts by Major Mukund's relatives on social media and from the interviews of his family members . They also are proof that the family values and close bonding would have played a major role in his upbringing and transformation into the nation's pride. The huge gap between reel and real in the family portrayal raises many questions. It is also appalling that the birth community of Major Mukund got deleted in Wikipedia after the release of the movie. In the movie itself there is a dialogue that for Major Mukund his father was his biggest role model. So wouldn't he himself have desired that the family that he loved so much be represented correctly? This is the biopic of an inspirational martyr and it is the moral responsibility of the makers to depict his family authentically for the sake of posterity and as a mark of respect to the braveheart and his dignified family.

Why Major Mukund caste identity was not portrayed properly when mrs Indu is portrayed as it is. It's really disappointing. Many of the viewers feel for the same. We are sorry to say It's also a drawback. Overall Film was very touching. Calling his father Naina made us feel it's SK. Not Major Mukund. It's a biopic, not imaginary story. Biopic should not be changed to the convenience of the creator. Great leader Mukund varadarajan. Salute to him. Sai Pallavi is amazing.
