Hey, Gabe! (and Happy New Year!) I wouldn't be surprised at all that the taste level on Cinnamon Toast Crunch Churros0 was not as strong as the namesake original cereal. And I was DEFINITELY NOT surprised that the cereal would stay crunchy longer in milk, especially given the texture of those true-to-form churro-shaped pieces.
