i had sciatic pain all the week that Helene was happening. The barometric pressure got very low here in Kentucky. Then, as the pressure became normal again, my pain in my back and legs just magically disappeared. My sinus pain, burning, draining, has been an issue, too, because they are harvesting a lot of corn around here, and I'm allergic to corn smut, but it is getting better. I sure hope you feel better too, because I couldn't sleep, and if Mama doesn't sleep, you better get out of the way.

You should go to a chiropractor. I was sent to therapy for my back and down my leg. It was sciatica. The only thing that helped me waschiropractor. Physical therapy didn’t help but after a couple treatments I started feeling better. I just go now for maintenance

My husband and I have been married 43+ years. He worked a rotating swing shift until 11 years ago which meant that the majority of the time I took responsibility for our 3 kids, household, and bookkeeping. My kids were a big help in many ways such as mowing 2 acres, gardening, etc. I returned to work when our youngest was 5. Ten years ago my body was attacked by my dormant lupus after an extended period of stress. I'm extremely limited when it comes to activities I used to take for granted although my brain still thinks are possible 😅! All of this to say that I, too, take my husband for granted and often need to reel myself in. If not for him, his attention, support and love, I would not have survived the rollercoaster of the last 10 years. We are both blessed women, Jen! (Even when they're turds 🤣🤣🤣)

I so enjoyed the Shenandoah fiber festival 2024. Sorry I missed you; I knew you were going, but we had a pumpkin patch trip planned. Sunday was cloudy, cool, and a little drizzle, which, for me, is perfect wool shopping! I also loved the program! It made me feel so organized and "official" haha😂 also helped me plan and stay focused and on budget. Great time and you have to come back to the area here in just a couple weeks it'll be truly spectacular with fall color! It's so fun/funny to see my "friends" that I follow virtually in person. Yarn blessings.

Her name in Latin means 'eagle'. I love the Shenandoah Valley. It's beautiful there and I love the civil war era stone buildings. One I stopped at had big truck parking and it was a restaurant.I also spent 3 days snowed in at Tom's Brook, VA.🙂

My husband had planned to take me to SAFF. It's a fiber festival just outside of Asheville NC. All the roads into Asheville are gone. I doubt the festival will happen this year. The deviation in this area and into NC is beyond words. Keep East Tennessee and North Carolina in your prayers. My family is safe and dry, but so many people here have lost everything and more have lost people they love. So many people who are able, are donating whatever is needed. The animal shutter in Erwin Tennessee put a call out for people to foster all their animals because the building was flooded and is a complete loss. Within a short period of time they had foster homes for all the animals from the shutter. There are helicopters dropping supplies to people who can't get out and have no power, water, or gas. There are neighbors working together to clear roads to get out. Businesses feeding people at no cost until they run out of food to serve. There is also a group with horses and pack donkeys taking water and supplies to people stuck up in the mountains. It will take years to recover and rebuild.

We live an hour from Ashville, NC. We are going on 7 days without power water. The schools that have power let us charge our electronics. They provide hot meals for breakfast and lunch. Everyone has come together with donations and help. We are trying to keep our spirits up. I've never seen such devastation. But my family is alive, and we will get through this.
