So I work in stage theater costuming and on the subject of fedoras looking cool or not: the style that usually falls into the neck beard, milady, gross category is a subset of fedoras called a trilby. The fedoras that tend to look more 'cool' like Indiana Jones has usually have wider brims, no back flip up on the brim, and are in general a little bigger. Just some fun hat info if anyone wanted it.
