This is a great review. But I'm curious if the dongle will work with the Nintendo Switch, or if it has to be a wired connection as with the X Box?

I went ahead and bought one of these headsets and guess what? It works great on the Switch. You can plug in the dongle to the usb port on the Switch dock and it synchs up right away. Works with both the headphones and the mic! PS, if the mic doesn't work at first, try restarting your Switch after fully powering it down. That's a pretty common problem, apparently.

Good luck if something goes wrong, particularly if you purchase from Amazon. There is no customer service available. Amazon will suggest you send it back. I could not toggle between blue tooth and the dongle. The headset worked in both modes but got stuck in blue tooth when I needed to go back to the dongle.

I'm wondering if your device was automatically connecting to it via Bluetooth? Next time, try disabling auto-connect on your device (or turn off Bluetooth) and then try connecting via the dongle...

One easy way: Put your mobile device in airplane mode. Bluetooth will be disabled

Ah, right. Hmm... in Settings > Bluetooth you should be able to turn it off. Do that, try connecting with the dongle.

Im on my ps4, i was experiementing with the dongle. Now i messed it up and my donlge if flashing blue, sound coming from TV and headphones not pairing. What should i do?

no matter what i try i keep hearing static when i use dongle or the bluetooth options. and even so when i test the microphone it sounds all muffled. and when i plug it in the mic doesnt really work. any good ideas on how to fix this?

I just want to say i unplugged it fir the third time and plugged it back in and NOW the mic works me with technical difficulties 😂

Sounds like you might have a problem with noise in your line, maybe from a dirty power supply? I'd look into some shielding device for your AC to see if that helps.

To see if it's a headset problem, I suggest trying to pair them with a different Bluetooth device. If it doesn't work, your headset might be faulty. If it does, then your phone might have an issue. Also, make sure you have the very latest version of Android too.

make sure you've plugged it in properly and that it's plugged into your computer correctly. Try using the "troubleshooter" utility to check it as an input device too.

The button you press once to mute the microphone. Hold it in and it will swap between dongle mode and bluetooth mode with voice prompt

For some reason I don’t know if it is just me but when I try to use my dongle on my Mac OS laptop it does not connect and I can still hear sound coming from my laptop and not the headphones.

You shouldn't need the dongle with your Mac, but if you do want to use it, make sure you go into System Settings... > Sound > Output and choose that as your output device. Easy! 🙂

Is this based on your actual experience, or are you just criticizing for entertainment purposes? Also, have you tried adjusting your PC settings?

@@AskDaveTaylor I bought it, I've tested it for a whole day. I'm a computer technician and have tried everything including sound processing software that "filters" the sound coming from the mic and amplify it. But the only thing I achieved was a louder NOISE, not VOICE.

I believe the documentation says that Xbox only works if you're wired, not using it wirelessly. Check the docs that came with your unit to confirm.
