Indus civilisation didn’t end or people perished. It is still existing with all its cultural traditions in practice even today. Of course the Indus people originally belonged to Tamilnadu and had settled there for effective trading with the west. Bible doesn't say that the Earth is flat. It says earth is globe. It comes in the Book of Isaiah. "Isaiah 40:22 reads, “It is he [i.e. God] who sits above the circle of the earth". This book was written nearly some 2700 years back. The Catholic hierarchy didn't read the Bible and also not allowed the Catholics to read the Bible, instead they framed own canonical laws for religion that are contradictory to the Bible. That is why Protestants came. This was the real cause for killing Bruno and persecuting Galileo.
