I love hiking, especially long-distance hiking, although I know I have my physical limitation. After 10 years of long-distance hiking, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, was rushed into 6 hours of emergency surgery in 2020. Throughout the last two years, I drew my hiking experience, I switched my mind to pure survival instinct - I want to live! it was a long journey, but I instinct of staying alive outlive all. Today, I have been cancer-free for more than a year. I thought of nothing but live. Planning to do a three-day hiking again soon, can not wait to return to the open space of life, that will strive in any condition, and so do our lives.

having spent time with many long-distance hikers like myself, men, women, older, young, and children, I guess we all have many common thoughts about our own physical limits and sometimes understand other hikers' physical limits. It's amazing to learn a Brain Cancer survivor started slowly hiking again, I am certain he knows his own physical abilities well enough to start doing something he felt right about it. After surviving a life and death surgery experience, it did make me cherish life more and find a way to reach out to people to share life. Camino trail is a spiritual awakening journey, if I find a chance I would walk the trail, I just would like to do this walk for the right spiritual experience for me, and I am sure I will define one that will be right for me. Catch up with you all on the trails.

We want to keep progreessing with Snowdon and were going to try a winter ascent this week in the hope of having a view of the snow covering, but the wind at +50mph combined with some rain I thought was just too much. We'd also like to be confident enough to do the Crib Goch route (in the summer) which I understand is rated as one of the best/diffecult ridge walks in Europe. There's so much to do up there. I also know that wild camping isn't detered, so there are some 2 day circular routes to do as well. Such a great mountain, I'm glad you enjoyed it and it helped your mental health.

The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Revelation 21:3-5

I met Caveman Chris on the AT in Maryland in 2012... Wonderful to see him in your documentary and know he's still out there living the dream!

What’s Up? Hope your doing well. Yup..still living the dream. I’m setting out on my Triple Crown Hike in March of 2021. I’ve been shakin & moving ever since 2012. Glad you liked the Documentary. I met TESLA on the PCT in 2016. He needed a little help getting around Colorado & happen to live here so it was a no brainer to help however I could. TESLA was kind enough to put me in his film. Take Care...Happy Trails

@@chrisstiles7155 hi Chris... Wow didn't expect such a quick reply! When we met you were walking with Wounded Knee, Woods and a young woman, didn't catch her name. Fun group. Still remember your story, the wrestling match and fall from the balcony. In case you're wondering, I kept notes on a digital recorder... All the best on your hike next year!
@chrisstiles71554 жыл бұрын
@@Albaby321 TESLA sent me a screenshot of your comment this morning! did I tell you my story into your recorder? I was just talking about how people remember me. My story & the sling is a big giveaway. I’m pretty good @ remembering hikers but I seem to get recognized quickly. I’ve met so many people on long trails over the years that it’s really hard to remember everyone. Look me up on FB.

I am so happy I found this. What an amazing film. I am a Buddhist and there was so much dharma in this film and the narration. I am also a hiking fan and also need the outdoors to heal my mental health issues. Bless you for making this film ✌️🌸🙏

Yes! Hiking in nature returns “Time” to Human time. Something I can handle well! I really loved the filming of the person physically moving forward (hiking) with the sound of the breath taking over everything else. The breath, outside in nature, physically moving forward, is what erases all the tangles of my mind. You managed to portray this very well. Inspiring! Out for a hike tonight!

I have been trying different day hikes every Saturday since August, 2020. Not going to let rain or snow stop me. Really enjoyed every moment in the woods or on top of the mountain. Training myself for a longer hike next year. I really enjoyed watching the documentary. It is my goal!

Good work! Throw in a bit of barefoot time (10 mins at first, building up slowly) and you'll almost certainly feel a much stronger connection to your surrounds. Love to hear folk like you getting out there! :-)

Picking a day worked for me too, I used to cycle to work every Monday. Those endorphins set you up for the day and knowing you exercised sets you up for the week. I was just like you 'come rain or shine' or snow too! Keep going friend.

Great Drone shots, sweet video clips…nicely done Documentary.. Yep, I concur, hiking brings out an element in us that reminds us who we are as a race and what we can achieve when it goes in the right direction. We experience the good, bad and ugly when we are solo in the wilds of nature yet most of us prevail. Thank you nature.

Such amazing documentary, well done. We all can agree that society has long forgotten it's roots - nature. We became independent on so many useless stuff, addicted to materialism, dehumanized by tech and internet, depersonalized from our own selves. While life can be so much simpler, fulfilling and profound, just by disconnecting from fake and artificial world and connecting to the nature, where we belong. Personally, I love hiking through forests and spending time exploring the nature in solitude. It definitely clears up my thoughts, energizes spirit, and brings calmness to my soul. I'd recommend everyone to spend more time outdoors, you never know what you might discover about yourself. Greetings from Cro. Pozdrav :)
