Between around 2015 ish to 2019 ish was peak animation meme community, at least for me. It just had some of the most iconic animation creators and memes and I have really fond memories of watching these videos. But then again nostalgia is definitely playing a part in this feeling because I was between the ages of ~8-12 during that time, and hell some of these animators got me into drawing which I think is the best thing this community has brought. Bringing new artists/animators to start exploring this medium. It certainly hasn’t always been perfect in this community, but these videos I will continue to look back on fondly

Me got me crying as well I remember watching those on repeat over and over again, also when I couldn't animate. I would improvise though in other ways, I would take paper and pencil then draw out the whole story board then take my camera, I would record while shaking to make it "cooler" while I filmed absolute violence on that piece of paper while humming a horrible version of the meme. I miss those days so much 🥺

Even though some of us look back on it and cringe, I look back on it as an interesting time to have been a bit younger while on the internet. I always remember making up animation memes in my head and like ideas for them since I never had my own computer or animation program and I didn't have any social media to put it on. I still do miss this era at times and I'm glad that this community is still around. Even if it isn't as popular as it was before :')

Reading these comments make me understand them but also disappointed. Animation memes from 2016-2019 was amazing. The nostalgia hits. But it’s not like animation memes are bad nowadays. It's nice seeing how far these animators gotten and how they paved the way for others to join (albeit, SOME are heavily inspired by other’s art styles and aren't original) There are really good current animations/animation memes. I feel like the good time of animation memes was around 2014-2017 because they were a form of self expression. Nowadays, people don't have self inserts that often, atleast not in animation memes. I remember burnt rice being the very first meme that I watched. Followed by mine etc etc. There were such good times, Scotch, Yeager, Rosalie, Stariaat, Sir fluff, Mystery kinq, apselene, wolfychu, seelmaru and other animators. (The list is too long and I'm not sure if they still go by those names anymore) It literally went through many phases, the head bobbing, follow the original animation meme to Pkrussel's criticism to animators wanting to evolve more. I wonder what's been up lately, I'm in the dark about why most animators are inactive.
