something about this song makes me think of all nature, from the trees to the oceans and I feel connected somehow. and that makes me weep inside because it feels good to be connected to those things than the modern day connection to materialistic bullshit. I want to live in the world that this song takes me...I want to go there, and stay there. I love just about any rendition of this song, it's cords and melody are utterly captavating and inspiring, not many other songs do that...If any....to the extent this song does.

It was composed to encompass the Gael of beautiful Scotland and Ireland, so that's why it makes you *feel*. The original was written by fellow Scot, Dougie McLean. The original is on his album, The Search, 1990. A beautiful, haunting album. 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
