I'm used to larger, corded routers kzbin.infoUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z so this was a different experience for me. Basically, this is an incredibly sweet machine, fits well in the hand, etc. It has slightly less power than I'm used to, but that's understandable. Maneuvering freehand takes some practice. These days, it's especially nice to be able to avoid power cords. This is above the level of a hobbyist but below a pro level.

Wow, that is sooo interesting, simple, useful and elegant. I love the drill trick of cutting off the screw and sharpening the trammel point! The only thing is that you should have chamfered the holes in the nut before threading and maybe a little lock-tite on the trammel point threads. :)

Nota 10. Simple, easy to make, takes up little space, can be increased by using more threaded bars, threaded bar junction nuts, up to the radius you need, in addition to the little time needed for construction. Grade 10. Remarque 10.

Ingenious!..can I buy that from you?
@georgesdelaire45084 жыл бұрын

I don't know buddy, it might not be a through hole, but that's still a hole :)

Can always double stick a buffer piece or centre punched piece on top to get around that

Is okay for small diameter if big ones, that threaded rod bends ( has some elasticity...) and errors will appear... Also that screw tightening on threaded bar will damage in time the tread ... Solution is that threaded bar to have am flat surface on al length in which tightening screw to 'bite'...

So let me see if I understand this correctly. In order to make a circle cutting jig for my router I first need to buy a drill press, a bench grinder, all thread, nuts and bolts? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy a circle cutting jig for $50?
@dalulacolour2 жыл бұрын
What thread sizes are the All Thread and the screw that you tapped?
@superspecialty51692 жыл бұрын
Why didn’t you chamfer both ends of the hole prior to cutting threads?
@jasonguill20963 жыл бұрын
No hole required... Immediately drills hole in metal fitting. Haha (And yes, I know he meant wood. Pity I have to explain myself least I feel the wrath of the "You're wrong" trolls)

"No hole required"? That sure looks like a hole to me.
