This lesson is Supper, Cool, Keen and Groovy. Thank you so much. I've been learning guitar since 1965 and learning music theory the past 6 years and I've learned more about music in 6 years than my whole life. I wish I'd learn music theory first, then I might have been teaching you instead of you teaching me. Great job Ricky. I WIKE IT. Ha 🤪

So good! Fully explained, methodical and great visuals. I'm all about patterns and shapes as they relate to intervals on the guitar. This works so well for the way I think, it's like it goes right into my brain!!!

What do you call the octave below the Simple octave? Does the octave below simple octave effect the names of inversions?

I’ve tried this. But I think I’m ok with jumping up and down with the cage system and keeping my chords creative let’s say. (!)😊

It's ok. You don't need to get it straight away. You can come back to it. Think of it as a mental chew toy to distract you when you're doing chores!

So, how do I get to join up with the live streams? I'd like to contribute to you and your efforts, Ricky. I'm assuming I can pay something to join you live like the other?

Ricky, methinks I first heard ‘ey-up’ just before the start of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” or at the very-last-second of “The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill” (spoken by John Lennon?) on The Beatles’ ‘White Album.’ Is this a fair cop?

So what do you get when you play 2D, 4F, 6A, 8C, 10E, 12G, 14B ? Is that a mode?

I'm not sure what you mean.

@@rickysguitar Instead of playing 1,3,5,7,9,11,13 note I played 2,4,6,8,1,0,12,14 notes of the C scale and it sounded good.

If I understand your question correctly, you're playing the dorian mode R 2 b3 4 5 6 b7. You need to think of the 2 as the dorian tonic/root note. That way the full chord stacks up in tertiary order. The full chord would then be R b3 5 b7 9 11 13. Hope that helps :)

@@rickysguitar I was thinking something like that also but in the D scale has two sharps in it. By playing the 2,4,6,8,10.12,14 (b,d,f,a,c,e,g,b) notes in the C scale I don't think I am playing any sharps or flats. Maybe it is something like an inversion C scale? lol
