If you would like to avoid extra steps and sewing on a clip: Follow the pattern down the first side. At the last chain, instead of doing 14 DC, do 7. Slip stitch to the same chain. Chain 25. Slip stitch back to the same chain again. Do the remaining 7 DC. This puts the pacifier loop on that end. Continue back up that side to the starting chain. Do the 7 additional DC and slip stitch. DO NOT TIE OFF. Single crochet around your pacifier clip as many times as needed for the style of clip you use, then slip stitch back to the same spot and tie off. Weave in ends.

Can i just ask... when connecting on the last circle, do you slip stitch into the top of the chain or into the first dc? Thanks

I’ve made two and the look good as soon as I’m finished but after a few hours they start folding in and even start curling, why is that?
@heidisdiy68883 жыл бұрын
Just guessing here as I don’t really know what causes curling. Maybe your stitches are very tight. Also too many stitches may cause tightness. Try making less double crochets in the circle.

I love this, what kind of yarn did you use?
@heidisdiy68884 жыл бұрын
I used 100% cotton yarn and a hook 3mm (US: 2,5/D-3). E.g. Drops Safran yarn would work quite nicely. It’s soft and nice for babies.

@jaymiller3287 Жыл бұрын
I read in another comment that she used a 3mm hook. 😊
@heidisdiy6888 Жыл бұрын
Yep, sorry forgot to mention that in the video! I’m using a 3 mm hook indeed. But more important is to match your hook to your yarn and that how loose or tight loops you tend to make. :)
@MsSarahKelly9 ай бұрын
I found using a 4mm hook can be the best, but I’ve also used a 3.75mm and it worked well too. Like she said it depends on the yarn. But doing the chain slightly looser, in my own experience is more effective and makes the rest of the project look better. So I sometimes have done the chain with a hook that is just the tiniest bit bigger than the one used for the rest of the project.

Hmmm.. I’m not sure. Did they got big after you turned around? Were they big from the start? Maybe you can try to make less double crochet stitches per circle...

We're working on multiples of 6. You can add one circle to your work by making 6 more chains.

Do you have to use 100% cotton or can you use a blend?
@heidisdiy68883 жыл бұрын
I think blend is as good as pure cotton. 😊 Various yarns work!

Hi what is the length of the whole pacifier clip?
@heidisdiy68884 жыл бұрын
This one is 24cm with a clip (8 circles in total). In this project we work on multiples of 6 meaning we make 6 chain stitches per circle in the beginning. Plus 3 chain stitches for the last circle. So if you want to make a shorter version, make less chain stitches in the beginning. E.g. for seven circles you’ll need to chain 39 (6*6+3). For six circles you’ll need to chain 33 (5*6+3). Hopefully this helps you!

@heidisdiy68884 жыл бұрын
@@daisydalabrugv1262 Okay! Remember to finish the first circle with a slip stitch before starting the second circle. This may be the issue. A slip stitch closes a circle (or a half circle at the beginning). Hopefully this help even a little! :)

@@daisydalabrugv1262 And by the way! If it looks like a half circle, you've got it right! :) First you'll make 8 half circles and then you turn a round and complete the circles. Jump to 4:17 to see what I mean by turning around.
