Day 7 Seven Scrapwood Challenges in Seven Days. Check out the previous episodes if you haven't seen them already.
This one was very rushed, I started at 6-30am this morning and made the chopping board, filmed and edited the video all in the day ( a lot of work!). Hopefully it's still ok and you enjoy it. I'm not sure I explained the jig well enough but I was super tired and wasn't thinking at my best.
Merry Christmas all and I'll see you in the New Year. :)
As always I'm happy to answer any questions.

As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement kzbin.infoUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!

3M makes a red peel off film heavy duty double sided tape that is super strong. It might be worth looking into. It may be too strong for what you do with it. I worked somewhere that used it to mount notices and such on the walls in a factory. The holders would break before the tape let go.

Came down here to say exactly that, it's my favorite little detail about the piece. The sort of thing that leaves non-woodworkers -- and some woodworkers -- wondering, how did they do that?

Along with Frank Howarth's spheres, this is a fascinatingly beautifull wooden object. The juxtaposition of the natural, involuntary lines of the camphor laurel growth rings and the stark geometric circles of the contrasting wood inlay invokes an interesting and visually pleasing dialogue. In other words... WAAUW!

Oh my goodness, what a universe of patterns you've opened up! Non-concentric circles, overlapping circles, etc. An ellipse jig might not be too difficult. Mix and match all of these and there's no telling how far it could take you. You may have felt rushed, but the piece doesn't look it. Gorgeous!

This is going to sound a bit odd, but the other day I was discussing my daughters career choices. I said I would love for her to learn a trade such as carpentry, hairdressing etc. I went on to mention my brothers friend, a carpenter who moved to Australia. This morning I'm trawling KZbin for ideas for a new chicken coop I need to build. I recognised your accent as being from Wolverhampton and it got me thinking.. Brother's name is Richard BTW.
