At 0:00, the universe begins At 0:35, you can see a teddy bear with a cell phone At 0:43, there is a sort of factory that creates building (i think) by crushing teddybears At 0:59, the city seems to function normally, there are cars, people walking etc. At 1:37, you can see a sort of engine creating a fields with sheep-spiders. Notice that the grass is clean. At 2:15, the sheep-spider are multiplicating themselves. At 2:39, these sheep-spiders are operating a kind of machine that feeds the core of a kind of computer/simulation. At 3:22, more teddy-bears are using cellphones At 3:37, the teddybear operating the machine is busy with it's cellphone, thus slowing down the process At 3:57, you can see a protest, with a cat face crossed-out, a ! next to a bear, and sheep with ?. There's also fog in the background. At 4:07, you can see the kind of giants cat-building collapsing, with "for sale", and graffitis, and finishes to collapse. Note that at 1:17, this was not the case. (linked to the economy...) At 4:43, you can see the cat-engine spawning spider-sheeps along with garbage. Now the fields are dirty and full of garbage. At 5:00, you can see the spider-sheep creating a sort of blockade. At 5:21, you can see the spider-sheep operating the machine... but they no longer multiply themselves. At 5:34, you can see the spider-sheep-worm trying to eat up the teddy's as I suppose there are too much of it. the teddeys start leaking out of their containment. This is quite deep. I know that it has something to do with the economy, the population, and the environment... maybe with science too.

This video represents societal collapse under capitalism. While the first cycle seems reasonable, the second cycle is where the problems are made apparent. The bear factory resembles worker alienation (phone use), as the system relies on violence (using the chippers). Kitty City represents the dissolution of urban life, an increase in traffic congestion due to car dependency, a decrease in air quality, and political unrest. The sheep field represents pollution caused by trash dumping (trash bags and yellowed grass). The web represents resources being perverted (into the cube shape used to wall off the lower class) by an authoritarian ruling class, led by the sheep king, whose plan is hinted at in the original cycle. The lab represents scientific research, unable to progress because it has to fend off the sheep monster (the authoritarian state). The repeated error message represents inescapable turmoil once it is too late to stop it.

So, in the Circle World, there are several zones. The first zone is the Cloud Land, inhabited by teddy bears who water teddy trees, and there is one teddy bear that grinds the others to prevent overpopulation (0:44) The next zone is a City, with people being controlled by Castlecats - beings who look like humanoids made out of buildings, and with the head of a cat. The next zone is a sub-zone of the City, being the "power plant" which provides energy for the city. The next zone resembles a meadow, inhabited by Sheepiders, who make Sheepider Webs out of their own wool. In the next zone, made entirely of Sheepider Webs, lives the Sheepider Queen. The next zone is the Technology Zone, which hosts the Spiral of Life ("source code" of the entire Circle World) and there is a machine used to monitor the Spiral's activity. At 2:56 things have taken a worse turn, as the teddy bears of Cloud Land are no longer paying attention to their duties - the one who operates the Grinder, is now using his phone, which leads to over-teddy-population. In the city zone, the people became aware that the Castlecats are actually dictators, and start a riot against them. The Meadow Zone is polluted, with the grass being a duller color, and Sheepiders foraging through the waste, in order to find any edible material. There is a new Sheepider Queen, who forces her subjects to work hard, and the former Sheepider Queen is now conquering the Technology zone, slowly eating the Spiral Of Life, which causes warnings to pop up on the screen of the machine used to monitor the Spiral's activity.

I love rewatching this just to look for extra little details that I hadn't noticed before. It feels like there's a lot that can easily be missed. For example, the "dodecahedron sheep" at ~5:17, who is possibly the same sheep seen experimenting with turning a cube into a dodecahedron at 2:17. In the second loop, he's seen on a chair with his creation, as he eats flowers from a bucket as if they were popcorn. But what actually are these flowers? Well, at 1:42, the same kind of flower can be seen used as food for newly created sheep-spiders. In the second loop at 3:42, though, they eat... something. I can't tell what it is, but seconds later, you can see sheep-spiders looking through trash bags to find more. Yeah, it really seems like that dodecahedron guy asserted himself as a ruler of some kind so he could hoard all the flowers to himself while leaving the cube-making plebs to fend for themselves.

this might just be a fun project cyriak worked on. additionally, from this surreal art, many interpretations can be made. here's some of my thoughts: from the first cycle, there's many hints of the downfall of this self-sustaining machinary. unnoticed, these small issues grows ever more worrying, until there's no point going back. this very conundrum can be reflected back on many issues humanity is facing approaching the 2nd decade of this century. the invention of the smartphone is proving to become a major part in society. hopefully we won't have to wave goodbye to our own humane nature in exchange of isolation possibly resulting in the breakdown of society, unlike the bears. i could continue, but it's already 2.00 a.m. & tommorow is gonna be a 'new' day. i would have already lost track of my thoughts.

Livestock such as cattle,sheep,chicken were kept either in barns where they would be fed & or being able to feed of the fields to their heart’s content while plants were grown on huge fields to be harvested & turned into food, once ready they would be given to us to eat. 2:46 Technological advancement: as we continue to eat & reproduce daily, we evolve & so does our technology, thus the Internet was invented. 3:07 World Wide Web discovery: now with the ability to communicate & interact with others so far around the globe many began to join & explore the virtual world soon turned into social media such as Facebook, Twitter, KZbin, Instagram, Reddit, Twitch, Discord & so much more. 3:36 Digital addiction: since we enjoy our technology SO MUCH such as games, the media, helpful & even just random things we like, we begin to become more & more attached to it, so we lose the will to do anything except go on our phones, tablets, computers on a daily basis, some of us also just want to work on the media rather than doing actual jobs in the REAL life world & some just become too lazy to do anything except stay in the Virtual world for so long & so “degenerates” were created. 3:50 Poverty, oppression & rebellion: as we continue are daily lives, there are those who struggle to live in this world ruled by a capitalist, greedy & selfish government, they begin to feel mistreated & so they protest against their leaders, they abide the rules in order to survive, they riot in anger, they threaten others for their own safety & wellbeing, these people are called criminals, they are known as thieves, smugglers, terrorists & others who are just pure evil, but they only do this for their own pleasure & survival, they vandalise to show that they’re powerful, dangerous & not to be messed with, another thing that happens is many are poor & so certain facilities lessen down the price to make items easier to get, some businesses go bankrupt due to not getting enough income & so they shut down. 4:41 Environmental abuse: with an increasing population on the rise, that means we’d need to double the food as they’re many to feed, however mass agricultural production also leads to greenhouse gases such as Methane & CO2 which pollute the Earth’s atmosphere, creating more heat causing global warming, the packaging & containers of items are just blatantly dumped into the ocean & certain places by those who are too stupid to know of it’s disposal. 5:02 Slavery: some who are desperate are forced to work in poor conditions seemingly being the only way for them to earn, they are controlled by those who are members of the upper class, laughing at the lower class while being indulged by the luxury they’ve been given. 5:26 The cruel use of Dominion: the only reason we breed & increase the number of animals is that we can use them for our needs such as using them to test medical products & killing them for our food, using the technology we’ve created showing no mercy towards a single life of a new born creature in order to keep us alive. 5:45 Last resort to save humanity: Those with the most advanced knowledge & power will try to save the population of the world from ending, however due to the increase in many issues such as global warming & criminal activity they will be unable to as the damage has already been done, it is inevitable, no matter how many times they try, even if they have the most control over mostly anything, they can’t stop what they’ve started but they will always deny this even if it is true as we humans can’t accept what we’ve been told but rather trying to prove it wrong in order to show we are the smartest beings on this planet. In the video it started when the bear didn’t turn the grinding wheel but for us it started when the Devil tricked Adam & Eve to eat the forbidden fruit that God told them not to. & so he banished them from the garden & put them on Earth, they were cursed with mortal life, it is human nature to deny what we’ve been told as we are curious to find out & always want to prove we are right. The bears & cats represent us & the sheep represent the animals. In summary we aren’t able to live forever & eventually the world will rot & fall apart, usually Cyriak’s videos have meanings but this one had the most impact on me. It took me 2 HOURS to write this comment. Cyriak if you’re reading this I’d like to say thank you for making this it really shows you the sad truth behind how the way of this world works & since it’s 2019 it’s so much more relevant, Steve Cutts would be proud of this.

This is a pretty good critique of capitalist modes of production and industrialization. The over production and encouragement of overconsumption to inceease profit result in discrimination (people marching the street with signs crossing out the cat face), polution (the machine of society constantly churn out trash that fill the environment) and cheap/slave labor exploitation (the spider sheep are forced to work in what looks like sweatshops for a "ruling sheep", which represents the ruling class in countries where labor is outsourced to). In the end, all this comes together and the "perfect cycling machine" of capitalism is corrupted and fall into chaos.
