I've been using the homemade recipe for over 25 years... works great.

So far I have never had any issues, but definitely appreciate your suggestions.

I’m glad! I sometimes get water trapped in my ears still but again, that’s if I’m not taking these steps. Swimmer’s ear itself I haven’t had for quite awhile now luckily

Great video! Thanks! So you don't use ear plugs at all? After dinner months of the video, are you still not using the ear dryer?
@CircleHScuba6 ай бұрын
No ear plugs, divers don’t typically use those. They make them but I’ve never tried that and they kinda worry me because if they do trap air you’ll be in huge pain. I’m occasionally using the ear dryer but I just put some ear drops in if I’m diving a lot to be honest.

I use Q-tips post dive. Never had a problem. A friend of mine swears by WD-40 pre-dive. I haven't tried it.

Q tips help but I know some folks have issues with drying them fully and/or pushing wax deeper in
@jojodiver87069 ай бұрын
@@CircleHScuba As I understand it, some people have curved ear canals which makes Q-Tips a no go. Mine are a straight shot to the drum. But I use Q-Tips after every show, every swim, every dive. I've also heard that olive oil actually dissolves/loosens ear wax. I would opt for olive oil instead of WD-40 though if I had to.

@jojodiver8706 Olive oil I’ve heard works, WD-40 sounds like a joke to me 😂

You know there's actually an item that you can use I forgot what the name of it was but before you go on a dive you squirt it in your ear and then you rub your ear and it's supposed to keep the water out of your ear instead of trying to dry your ear you know what I mean.
@CircleHScuba11 ай бұрын
The drops I talked about can be put in before and after dives. There’s a few options like that 🤙

@@CircleHScuba well it's actually a spray not a drop you know what I mean
@CircleHScuba11 ай бұрын
@Divewith.G.M right, most of these you can make into sprays. It’s the same solution :)
@Divewith.G.M_Official_Channel11 ай бұрын
@@CircleHScuba no you buy it as a spray!
@CircleHScuba11 ай бұрын
@Divewith.G.M yes, and the ingredients are the same. It’s the same thing lol. Like sunscreen can be a spray or cream you smear on 😂
