The trouble with this is there would need to be set moves to be judged and also a lot of the creativity that sets a performer apart would likely not be allowed, along with music. It sounds nice in theory, but they would also find a way to ruin it.

I like the story told in this performance. It is almost as if the character that is being portrayed wants to leave the circle but when he does he loses his grace and can't function without being within the ring. He comes to the realization that he simply can't exist without being within the Cyr and is banished to forever be within the ring forever looking at the world as it passes by.

Incredible: so elegant-- your body is obviously perfectly suited to the long lines of the more lyrical movements but it is actually the tension you bring in the more "muscular/athletic" choices that offset those lyrical moves and create SUCH an articulate piece of performance. As if you have created multiple "languages" within the dialogue of your body and the wheel. Fantastic work.
