I’m pretty sure Grona Lund is getting the 4th tilt coaster, but I hope that maybe Circuit Breaker can catch the attention of Six Flags. I think for Magic Mountain specifically a Tilt Coaster would make for an amazing fit in their Screampunk Area if Six Flags puts in the money to theme it and if the current plot of land Scream sits on works well enough. Removing/relocating Scream to put a Tilt Coaster in would be a fantastic move imo.
@SunshineStateCoasters2 жыл бұрын
Grona Lund?! How in the hell are they fitting all of these rides and coasters in that small of a space?! If that’s true then Grona Lund will be at the top of my bucket list!
@theduh10112 жыл бұрын
I feel like the tilt coaster would feel a bit redundant in the same area that's just now getting a dive coaster; I feel like literally any other area of any six flags park would be a better fit for it lol
@CoasterHour2 жыл бұрын
@@theduh1011 A Tilt Coaster would draw people in even with Emperor and Hangtime nearby. It’s an even bigger spectacle if anything and to the average guest I think they would be different enough rides. In SoCal redundancy can exist as there already is overlap in nearby coaster collections. SFMM having an invert didn’t stop Knott’s from getting one. SFMM having a Sky Rocket III didn’t stop SeaWorld from getting a Sky Rocket II. SFMM having a B&M Standup didn’t stop them from getting a very similar Floorless and they still got West Coast Racers even though they already had both a dueling coaster along with a Premier Launch Coaster.

Energylandia tilt coaster showed that already, although this looks like a different layout (which is a good thing imo). That first element btw is the same as the first element on Vekoma's Top Gun Launch coasters and is actually called rollover camelback. As for the fourth one, I'd say East Asia as most new Vekomas are there.

I am immediately suspicious of that giant column in the Gröna Lund rendering at 2:34. Clearly something heavy is going up there. Imagine what Universal could do with one of these things. Well, you kind of don't - Gringotts already exists - but aside from that, imagine what they could do with a "full scale" tilt coaster? I'd really like to see the result. I don't think it's going to happen at EU on opening - these things are best out in the open where the tilt can intimidate a bunch of folks, and it'd be very obvious in the concept art - but it'd be cool to see.

The only thing that I'd change about it is the ending, I'd add a helix right before the brakes. That aside they did a great job on the layout, it's a bit of a short ride, but it's a great first step for Vekoma's return to the U.S. Hopefully it only gets better from here, Six Flags should really take a good look at this one. As for the 4th one, my guess is China, it's a safe guess.

@crashcoaster38522 жыл бұрын
On Gravity Max, there is a clip on the track that hooks onto the back of the train (similar to how a Boomerang reverse lift works), there is a buffer at the front of the train that stops the train from rolling forwards during the tilt and there are friction brakes on the track to stop the train from moving. The tilt track is locked into place with hydraulics, and only when sensors detect that happens will all 3 safety systems disengage. :)

A Tilt coaster has existed in Taiwan since 2002 and it has a perfect safety record. A metal hook latches onto the back of the train during the tilt to ensure that it cannot move. Also, a large metal block rises in front of the train in case the hook fails. There are also several sensors that ensure the track is lined up correctly before the train drops. If for whatever reason the tilt section doesn’t align, the train will simply be tilted back into horizontal position.
