Kickass. I just ordered a Circuit Tracks, and already have a Volca Bass.

Great stuff! I connected these two for the first time yesterday and had a blast. I’m a long way away from your level, though. Great groves and melodies. I’d love to see a tutorial where you talk through a couple of the tracks and how you programmed/played them. By the way, it looks like you always have the Volca Bass playing in unison mode (all vco’s together). Have you used it in any of the other modes? If so, how was that?

Thanks for listening! About Volca Bass: yes, I quite like to play it in unison. One of the VCO's on the root note and 2 others slightly detuned. So you can dial interesting "sweet spots" using different wave forms and detune. Volca is a very cool little synth. It is fairly simple but versatile and has beefy sound, especially when you applying some effects on top.

Sounds good. Seems like it looks better then the original...

Design is definitely sleek.

I hear some saturation in the beginning! Is it come from the sample being triggered, or is it an FX being applied before or after?

You right, there is some background noise on this sample, yes. This sample is from the stock sample pack.

Do you think Volca Bass gives you a better sound than Circuit's synths? I'm thinking about exactly selling the Volca to add money and buy the Tracks instead my OG one :)
@YuriyZubkov3 жыл бұрын
I think in this particular type of sound - that might be true. Because Volca has 3 oscillators. But the main point is - Volca produces fairly simple sound, that you can reproduce on pretty much any gear (with square and sawtooth waveforms). So why wasting one of Synth tracks on this simple sound, when you can connect Volca (if you need this type of sound) and use 2 available Synth tracks of the Circuit for something more complicated. That means more voices - more variations for your music track. Since I have a Volca already - I tested exactly this use case. And I will never sell my Volca. :) It's a great little synth with good sound. But I do understand your choice, yes, price point of Tracks is steep.
