A wye is preferred as it is more directional. But a TY is acceptable by code. (Your local inspector may say no to the TY though)

Previously we saw that you could only have a maximum angle of 45° in the horizontal between vents. I'm wondering what the rules are for routing the branches off of the circuit vented branch? You showed an image where the WC comes down at a 90 and a 45 fitting to the the wye.

This a late reply. That 45° offset is referring to a change of direction in the circuit vented branch. What you are talking about is the change in direction inside the trap arm connecting the toilet to the circuit vented branch. You need to follow trap arm rules for trap arms, circuit vent rules for the circuit vented branch.

That is an optional placement, not a requirement
