There's something so melancholy about this, the way she smiles almost sadly as she begins, like she loves to dance but wishes she wasn't confined to the box and the length of the straps that let her fly. The way she conveys that emotion makes all of this even more beautiful.

It's actually a lot easier than dancing without the ropes.. (probably the wrong word as aerial is not at all my domain, I'm all ballet) as there's a lot less weight put on your feet. But it's very beautiful, yes.

I remember going through my “chubby” phase of adolescence hating my arms and thighs for being thicker than the other girls’, hating everything about myself. I had these unruly, greasy bangs, raw knuckles and calluses, and I was a tomboy trying to be pretty. I didn’t realize that my legs were strong from practicing my moves over and over. I didn’t realize my arms were big because I could do more pushups than any other girl in my class. Even as I went on pointe, I was always restricting myself, driving myself crazy trying to be the ballerina in the box when what I wanted was to swing through the air like a madwoman and show the world how strong I was. I wish I had seen this video back then. I wish I could have seen the power in her arms, the flexibility in her legs and brought that to my dancing. I hope there’s a powerhouse pointe princess that sees it today.

I can't help but see a pretty actual theme in there. women emancipation. she break free from the initial status as a pretty thing in her box, convicted to do the same movement we waiting from her and then she take flight, blossom and become an angel out of her chain... it really is magnificent.

She took Tchaikovsky’s 🦢 lake and made it take flight. Literally. Never seen anything like it . Maybe figure skating should be reinvented as a new form of sports while through with water ballet, aerial ballet should become more popular than a typical ballet. There is so much beauty behind this very unique form of art.

Like her arms are strong but delicate and her legs are graceful and strong they both look thick but help her up in the air. She doesn’t have a flat chest but doesn’t have two exaggerated balls. Her hair looks so amazing and just all of her I can’t explain she is just perfect perfect her skin color her structure and poise her face she is beauty all around

if I could be anything in the whole world- I’d be a dancer. sadly, my parents never allowed me to take dance and I have a more curvy physique so it’s not ideal. but I’d love to feel my limbs carrying me into such beautiful things humans shouldn’t be capable of, to feel the music carving my movements and the earth ages below me when I jump. to feel the strength in my body and know i have given everything for this and I made it.

Even if you cant take dance classes in a studio there are multiple videos that can you teach you routines or ballet barres or whatever you want to do. If you want to do it GO FOR IT. Your parents may be holding back in the traditional path to dance, but you dont have to follow that path. If it is your dream, do everything you can. Ps. Miss Auti’s and Kathryn Morgans’ (depending on the type of dance you want to do) youtube videos are amazing and got me through quarantine lol GOOD LUCK!

I'm not trying to be a hater! she was beautiful and strong and amazing and i'm not trying to take away from that. She should be so proud of what she did. I just got a little worried at some parts with the pointe work. It didn't always look... maybe safe is the right word? Not hating, just concerned. I did pointe for years, i know what to do and what not to do, and there were just a few things that worried me. But who knows. Maybe they were done on purpose. If so, i'm sure she figured out how to make it look that way while still being safe. She was beautiful and amazing regardless.

O. M. G !!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 This routine is a masterpiece! The strengh, the elegance, the power, the way you feel the music, the message of this, the EMOTIONS of this routine are amazing ane I can't find words to express how perfect this routine and the way you dance it was. I never saw ballet and aerial mixed together like this and it was a pure masterpiece. I didn't even know that you could do aerial with pointed shoes like whaaaaaat?!?! That was wow. Just wow. The emotions that this video makes me feel are unspeakable and I want to thank you for that and mostly tell you that you are as elegant and strong as anyone (* any ballerina/aerialist) can dream of. The word Congratulations isn't enough but I can't find a stronger word. I'm going to watch this video again, you did such a beautiful job 😍❤️

I interpret this as a dancer in a music box. The 2 people beside her in the beginning are children cranking the box up. She looks sad because she loves to dance but she’s chained to the same moves and the same song, but yet she still smiles because its only within her chains can she do what makes her happy, the only way made for her to express herself. And then she looks sad again being put back in her prison waiting for it crank again so she can be free, free with in her chains once more.
