Jax is definitely not an NPC. If you pay close attention to his expressions, you can see he does feel more things rather than just being mean. Happiness, sadness, madness, confusion, etc. Jax does have a very clear reason as to why he acts so weird. He does it as a coping mechanism, and as a way to possibly even full Caine into thinking he’s not too desperate to escape, allowing Caine to trust him more with objects crucial to escaping… like keys… He also does fit into the theme. As a rabbit is usually a popular object to be picked up out of a magician’s hat. Plus, he’s wearing a goofy outfit. He also seems to be colorful like the rest of the cast. Gooseworx has also revealed some of his past. How? Well she has confirmed he is afraid of corn because it “reminds him of the farm.” This shows he does have a past he probably would hate to talk about like the others. Since Caine doesn’t want every NPC to have deep lore, this proves Jax to be human, as he has his own backstory. Which the NPCs do not. His design also makes sense to his backstory. He is scared of farms, possibly because he was once a farmer. Other cast members like gangle and ragatha relate to their designs too. Gangle hiding her sadness behind a happy mask could relate to how she may have used to hide her emotions a lot. Ragatha may be a doll because people used to take advantage of her kindness towards others. There’s also lots of ways Jax has helped others, but masked it with how rude he was during helping them. Like throwing them down the zooble hole. He heard Kaufmo in the background, so he threw them down. He also allways breaks gangles mask. Possibly symbolizing how Jax is helping gangle show her true emotions. Plus, if I was him, I would be an ass too. He’s confirmed to be 22, and he even says he’s been stuck there for years himself. Meaning there’s a huge chance he got stuck in the circus at a very young age. TLDR: he ain’t an NPC. Just pay attention and u would understand why he’s not. Good theory though!

If anyone's an NPC, it's Zooble. Here's why Jax ISN't an NPC first: First off, you're saying that Jax is an NPC bc he doesn't have empathetic feelings. But Gummygoo does. So that doesn't make it a reason. Besides, Jax DOES have feelings. You can see them as just blink and you'll miss it moments, but they're there. I'm not gonna go to far into why he isn't and more into why Zooble is, because there's already a huge comment underneath mine about just that. I think Zooble is the most likely to be an NPC because of one thing: she never goes on any of the adventures. If she IS an npc, then I think that she stays behind in the circus because she's afraid of getting left behind and forgetting all she learned about the circus. And yes, I'm not forgetting about the in-house adventures. I think she pretended to be annoyed with the in-house adventures, to make some consistency. Otherwise, someone might notice and start to watch her more closely, maybe even find out the truth about her. But what is she doing there. Well, I'm not sure, but maybe she's planning something, like you said Jax was. And you might say she doesn't act too evil, or nefarious around the rest of the cast, but what exactly do you think she does all day? Maybe planning something. I have a big theory about gummi goo, so what if gummi Goo was somehow transferred to the amazing digital circus world when he was a baby, and then he got sent to the candy kingdom. he would have grown up in his new body thinking that his life was real, so he wouldn't have known or remembered any of it, bc well he was just a baby. and his mom, since she wasn't in the character section out of the map, so maybe she was real too, but when Caine saw that gummi goo had come back, gummi goo might have known something that Caine didn't want the other people to know, so Caine killed him, or, Caine could have thought that gummi goo was an npc when gummi goo was a real person. just a theory!!!

you know that I think I found a way to escape the circus. In ep.1, at the end I think, we see that when they put the scene of what it looks like to venture out into the void, It ends with the computer. Meaning that the reason Caine really doesn't want them to go in the void is not because of the unfinished work, it's because he knows that that can be a way to escape. And he said he didn't even know what was out there but still said it was about unfinished work.
