Just want to give a shout out, that this training actually helped reset a bulging disc in my back after a sky diving accident. Tried everything else, and couldn't touch my toes for 6 months, they wanted to do surgery, and this fixed it. Specifically the reach under move with the sliding plates, actually have it on video where you hear a loud pop, and bam no more pain. Now it's a ritual.

Lol, I was thinking the same. They're very different. One does bodyweight only, the other adds weight. One says he eats very clean, the other brings up burgers, fries, and pizza. Goes to show you that different things can work if applied correctly.

Thanks for posting this! I thought these guys were soooo cool when I saw this show a couple of years ago! Mainly because their muscles look good but are also FUNCTIONAL. They remind me of Bruce Lee's teaching lol. I was a bit surprised to learn that they change their workouts every week and they mainly do bodyweight workouts from the rings. Anybody know what the name of that mat equipment is called? And a list of their varied workouts..That looks like something I can do at home:) No offense to the interviewer but you can clearly see how a beach body looks inferior to a real functioning body. The irony being that they perform as the "beach boys!" They DON'T count calories...lol

Love their energy and strength. Also no nets or straps, very dangerous. Yann Arnaud died last year during a performance. Regarding fitness and diet, I like how they eat everything and don't count calories, it's about the work you put in and eating relatively healthy which is easy - cook and don't eat too much junk food. And the emphasis on body weight, calisthenics, I really like.

Hi I know I'm a little late to the party but really enjoyed these. Whats the workout called for the back? I can't pick the name up because of the accent but it sounds like 'backlash' help would be much appreciated.

Sorry, but the camera work is horrible, Why is the camera person always so close up. Pull back and let us see the whole picture. Seeing half a person when the whole body is being engaged doesn't give you as much insight into the workout.

I used a card stock on my tile floor and it was perfect. Thank you for your suggestion. I had the question burning in my mind how I could use homemade equipment to perform the movement at 8:05 you're awesome!
@solfeinberg4377 жыл бұрын
Regina, thanks for the comment - paper plates - nice to make all these things super accessible - no cost. I really like body weight calistheniucs - if you have an exposed rafter or a tree limb it only costs about $50 to get some good gymnastics rings. I built pull up bars, and dip bars, and I'm gonna build a peg board in my new house.

hello, where du you get such matten?
@devanreed60057 жыл бұрын
Having the strap on the forearm like that I imagine puts less leverage on the forearm I'd imagine. I Imagine it would allow more training time considering the fact that the wrists are one of the weaker parts in the chain. I can't seem to find anything like that online. Does anyone know where they got those from? What they are called?
@devanreed60057 жыл бұрын
Ohhhh. Didn't finish the video before I asked. Still would like to know where I could get one from.
@boethiusm84387 жыл бұрын
Devan Reed been searching too. I even tried to loop the straps on my rings. The search continues.
@solfeinberg4377 жыл бұрын
No, these exercises are definitely easier if you can put some of your weight on your elbows instead of your hands, because of the leverage effect - muscle ups, iron crosses. In fact, this is part of the progression to full iron cross. It starts with the weight closer in like this. Just imagine, if you loop the rings under your arm pits, of course it would be trivial to hold yourself up. But if you hold on with just your hands spread straight out to your sides, there's an incredible pressure to simply fall down in the middle and end up hanging in a pull up position. As you slide the contact point of the rings out from your arm pits to your hands, the force (I should say torque, actually) increases dramatically. These loops allow you to put weight on your elbows and make the exercises much much easier. Perhaps, you can use them to control how hard you want to work by putting more weight on the rings vs. the loops.

I’m not trying to discredit anything thing that they are doing but look at their shoulders they are pulled in and there’s not much as to the upper peck
@garypriest76797 жыл бұрын
Yes I do see that to be true My real concern was more about their position of the shoulders can be brought forward and over time become a problem with rotator cuff damage
@joebobmarley28547 жыл бұрын
Gary, I agree. I thought the rings guys have a bit of forward shoulder over rotation.. I figured they would have perfect posture, with a neutral shoulder position. The first guy, with blonde highlights has great shoulder position.

Not to discredit any of what these guys are doing, because they are awesome, but the sideview of his posture at 2:22 is kinda disturbing... What's also disturbing is the hosts form during the exercises ;p

Quite the contrary.. He has a hunchback and forward head. Very common postural problems but it is puzzling to see an athlete of such port display those

i think he has bigger uper back muscle that accentuate what i think is a very minimal forward head tilt. Maybe. i am not an expert by the way just sharing a point of view
