Great videos Scott! I am an engineer at Cirrus and its great seeing the new G7 out in the field. I am starting my instrument training soon and these videos supplement the sportys traning well.

27:21 I love Opposing Bases! I’m working on my instrument rating right now and I’ve gotten a lot of good insight from them. Great video by the way!

They are fantastic, I donate every month because I feel it’s that valuable. If you listen the the second feedback I posted in the description, where they read my story about LIFR in Chicago, that was 100% learning from them. I had this weird “fear” of ATC before that show. Working with ATC is so much more enjoyable now. Wish I discovered them during my instrument. Good luck!

I’m not a CFII, but when established on the final approach, what I do is bug the altitude to the “missed approach” climb to altitude. This sets you up for the missed as well as reduces the “altitude alert.” Of course, if you have the minimum altitude set, you’ll still get the “minimums” call out.

Great video! How does the intercom sound on your headset in the G7? My A30s sound muffled when I hear the intercom. Trying to figure out why. IFR proficiency flights for me this weekend!

Yep, same. It’s a thing (so I’m told) with the radio implementation in the GTC. I’m not sure what is technically going on, but it sounded better in my G2. I’ve gotten used to it, but everytime I key up, it throws me off for a micro second.

@@JMercmy wife and I started and operated a medical spa for the past 14 years. Good size practice, had 20+ employees. Private equity has been buying up that industry lately and a great deal was presented, so we decided to take a buy out. Before that, I was in the tech field, but nothing crazy. Moving forward, not sure.. I’m going to see what opportunities present. I still want to do something with what we learned over the past 14 years in business. But I also love flying.. we’ll see, no defined plan other than a commercial/multi and a bunch more hours.

Hey man - I’d love a quick chat. I enjoyed the video. I’m in the IDENTICAL situation you’re in as presented at the beginning of the video. I have a G7 as well. I’d love to ask a question about your climb and lean practice. At 22:01 I see you at 88% power - due to leaning. Happy to chat offline if you’d like! Thanks! -Fred

Yeah! Send me a message to my email so I can get yours. Scott@sacreativeservices.com I have a whole sheet worth of notes on engine leaning. Most of the info was from my old G2, but the concepts still apply. The G7 is really easy, I basically just lean top of the green arc on climb. Once in Cruise, I go lean of Peak, which is the top of the bottom green arc. Then I just monitor my temperatures. so far I’ve never been even close to danger zone. The temps are pretty much identical to my G2, which makes sense because they haven’t changed that motor … ever lol just basically keep the arrow outside the black parts, which would be the red fin of death, if you know what that means. But yeah, we can connect off-line.

I actually don’t like the insta360. The post workflow was not good for me, and the quality was not great in my opinion. I went back to my old GoProMAX and the 12.
