20/28/52 ports is not "weird". The extra 4 ports would be used for management and uplink/interconnects. It's not unusual for rackmount equipment to be loud. You can easily swap out the fans for some Noctuas to reduce the volume.

I have a question, if I buy a cisco switch, do I have all of the features in CLI? or there are certain cisco images that unlock hidden features? and also, how does it compare to a catalyst? does a catalyst have a lot more things to configure?

Very good deal :) love this switch. still running flawlessly. its not the most fully featured L3 switch but its fanless :D at least on the 28 port version.

@@bluntlab I endet up with a Brocade ICX 6450 24 Port and a Cisco Catalyst 2960-X 24 Port, everything kinda got out of hand :P
