Ciss air removal with printhead

How to prime and remove the air from a ciss continuous ink system, for the machines that have a printhead cartridge such as HP machines and some canon machines from cityinkexpress

I tried this and it works. You need to follow the process plus open the small cap after the process and boon the ink will flow until the buttom..

Hi, what if I'm already using the printer then suddenly I experience the problem, ink flowing backward. how can I apply this method to fix it?

Thank you so much for the video! I finally solved my problem. I use syringe at first, the ink flows a bit and fill up the air trapped in the hose but not until the cartridge. Then I use air pump (for inflatable toys) to push more the ink from the printhead and it works! The ink flows forward and it doesn't return and finally completely fill up the hose.

If I have them in the printer I only need to put in the plugs correct? I don;t need to put the tape or cover back on the cart. I;m having so much trouble with my canon mp287. Your video is very good.

Hello. Any tips on what to do if after doing this step the ink won't come out of the cartridge? I was able to make the ink flow but I probably did something wrong because no ink came out when I tried to print.

Sorry but it needs the clamps to do this - if you put tape round them it may damage the heads, also if you leave in the printer it wont work as its not an airtight seal shane

you could try a piece of foam / rubber and tape it round the cartridge

it wont work whilst they are in the printer it must have the black clamps over the cartridges- and be totally sealed - if you keep doing it without the clamps it will just damage the travel plug on top shane

You have to remove small plugs otherwise ink will not flow to cartridges because of the vakuum

Because otherwise it will just draw air in - you need to create vacumn which cannot be done without a sealed environment regards shane

I bought remanufactred canon cartridges in Ink1, and it comes with clamp.

why cant u just attache air filters on to each colour bottles, these have one way air valves so air will only come out but never go in.

Thanks. What's the ml of black pigment cartridges, by the way? I highly recommend creating a custom tower for the ink, such that the holes in the cartridge where the ink flows in, is the same height as the exit holes in the ink tanks (w/ a digital caliper) coz' it use the principle called Mariotte's Bottle/Siphon and the small rubber gaskets (where you plug in the ends of the tubes, a little on the top of the tube itself) and stuff are sealed (one can use silicone grease but just at the edges), block also the air intake on the top of the cartridge (it's that pattern on top of the cartridges if you remove the sticker). @@cityinkexpress-online That's a nice looking ink tank, what's the brand? Also how can you do that with the regular ink tank (it does not have an access hole for the syringe needed. By the way why can't CISS just function like water tank and put the ink tank way above the printer? why does it need two chambers for each color? God bless.
