Nice setup! So clean. I tried to convert my Canon Pixma MP258 to a CISS setup. It worked. However, when I tried to print, it only shows pinkish results. It seems like Cyan isn’t being supplied. But if I remove the cartridge, I get Cyan spilling out from the cartridge so I don’t think that it’s clogged. Is there anyway I can fix this? Hope you can help me.

John Kenneth Bilo than you. if print is not as expected then to check the issue first print a nozzles check pattern. From that you can figure out which color has problem. And as you said that cyan is spilling out from cartridge nozzles, so might be you have overfilled the tank. Clean the cartridge nozzles with soft tissue and remove some ink from the tank. Then check.

Improvement on this. It's best to drill a hole on the right side (two times on the inside, one on the outside) and have the tube enter in the horizontal position, the the tube outlet of the tanks should be a few millimeters (not too much, if it's too high, like on top of the printer, it'll overfill inside the cartridge and mix the colors which is extremely hard to fix). The ink tanks could be velcro-ed (with industrial velcro) or a stand made or a platform made and then screwed to the printer where it' won't damage any wire or mechanism and should be higher (again not too much just a few millimeters (test at what heigh it'll flow to the end of the tube). The tubes will need to be cut after testing that it's long enough for the printer's head, end to end. Only refill each color of that printer to 3ml else the colors could overflow inside and mix which is extremely hard to fix, it'll take 3 to 6 days (mark each syringe for each color at only 3ml mark with white tape, coz' it'll be hard to see when filled up).

No. It depends on the tank design. If in your ciss tank only two holes then the smaller one would be for air vents.

I think print head can be used for a long time, but requires maintenance. Apply focused steam on nozzles, or immerse it in blistering hot water, but DO NOT TOUCH OR WIPE the nozzles.

I haven't watched that video but that can be done. That is waste ink pipe in the back side. And sometimes it required to attach a long pipe and put its end to any external waste storage to prevent the accumulation of the waste ink inside.

E04 error appears when printer fails to detect the cartridge. Either the cartridge is not installed properly or faulty or the connectors in cartridge holder.

Hi, Shubhrajit, the Printer and the Tank both should be placed on the SAME surface level. remove some ink from the tank, do not fill the ciss tank at its full capacity. I will make a FAQ video shortly containing lots of Questions and Tricks about the CISS tank.

jerin george canon mp287 is much better that hp2132/2131. In all aspects. Print quality, borderless printing, multicopy and maintenance option on printer button panel.. Just one negative point is its cartridges are costly.
