This lady had a 70 year career in music that transcends background, solo, gospel, pop, RnB, and many other genres. She deserves documentaries and tributes from major platforms.

Rip Cissy-your background in Ain’t No Way has lived in my head since the first time I heard it. My Presenting Cissy Houston vinyl is forever in the loop, and I hope this isn’t weird but the poster that came with it is on the wall of my room. I’m twenty years old and somehow by the grace of God, your music found me. Thank you. Rest in peace.

I hope people will take the opportunity to listen to some of Cissy's recordings with her siblings as The Drinkard Singers. These were recorded when she was in her early 20s. I think that is the period in her life where you can hear the greatest vocal similarities between her and her daughter, Whitney Houston.

Rolling Stone is a just a few BIASED old guys who aren't musicians. Whitney Houston---WAS MUSIC. She is and ALWAYS has been the BEST singer of them all. This List also didn't have Celine Dion, and Barbara Streisand as number 2 and 3? They put Beeonce on the LIST? She is a booty shaker with expensive hairstylists and costumes. Singing just isn't something she can do. John Lennon is on as #12---he has a nasally whiny voice---the multi talented Paul made him sound good. Al Green should be a couple of slots higher. Have you HEARD him sing??

Mahalia, Aretha, Elvis, Bette, Ronstadt, Luther, Diana, and Beyonce sure loved her "over singing" because she recorded, and or performed with all of them. Look up "a miserable b!+c# who's never accomplished anything" and your name will come up. Oh wait, you don't have a name. Damn, forgive me for thinking you were someone.
