Speaking of gold, using an actual metallic paint and washing it with the contrast guilliman flesh works pretty well too.

What metallic paint would be recommended as an undercoat here? Some kind of silver?
@toffah2 жыл бұрын
I went with Vallejo Game Color: Gunmetal Metal, and applied Nazdreg Yellow over the top. Looks great!

What mixture did you use for the face?I can't hear it well in the video Thank you very much, your channel is one of the most complete I've seen.

Great work for getting Thanos and the throne table ready so fast.

Nice paint Job, I really like the Talasar blue on Thanos. Thanos boots huge, his feet look to be the same size as his thigh.

I like the finished result, he looks good. Can't wait to see him on the table.

Hopeful that your painting videos comeback soon. Helps a noobie like me understand a little better

I love speedpaint/contrast, but for big figures like Thanos, Dormammu, hulk ect, I feel good ol fashioned quality painting is in order. contrast works with spider-man, wolverine, Cap, but it doesn’t cover large areas well

I think that depends on skill level. Hulk was one of the 1st models I ever painted, & I think he looks fantastic! (only contrast paints used.)

So I don’t think you covered what paint or colors you used for the Stones …. Can you please share that???
@FliksTabletopGaming2 жыл бұрын
If I remember rightly it was just the grey contrast paint with a dry brush of grey seer on top.
@Grantf03302 жыл бұрын
@@FliksTabletopGaming so… I get that I was wondering what individual colors you used for EACH STONE? I’m the gauntlet
@FliksTabletopGaming2 жыл бұрын
Oh you meant the gems not the literal stones on his throne. Those have set colours so just use whatever you have that match them?

Would Magos Purple possibly work as a skin tone here?
@FliksTabletopGaming4 жыл бұрын
I haven’t used that one so I couldn’t say for sure but from looking up some comparisons I’d say it’d be a good fit yeah.
@RVBFan1824 жыл бұрын
@@FliksTabletopGaming good to know. Thanks! Been following your contrast guides for a while and thought that one might be ok, but it seems like you have more experience with these paints and would know better.
@williamjohnson44974 жыл бұрын
Magos purple is very weak. I tend to mix it with volupus pink or shyish purple to give it better coverage

Don't use Contrast exclusively. Good metallics complement Contrast paints wonderfully.
