This is the best card to use for sure! I have the chase freedom 5% category card, but the total rewards as a percent always comes back around 1.4/1.6%. Citi Double always gives 2%!

Thanks for letting us know about using the cash rewards to pay off the balance and losing the 1% for paying off your balance I forgot to take that into account as well

I just applied and got approved for $1,700 with no sign up bonus with the Double Cash. Hope of adding the Custom Cash at some point.

I just got a pre-qualification letter from citi. I'm exited to apply, but I'll have to wait for my BoA platinum plus card end statement. That way I can get the extra CS to ensure I get approved.

This 2% beats almost any cash back credit card. Only ones with more benefits are in bonus point form or have annual fees.

Even then it depends if the rewards are useful to you. I wanted to get a Amex gold, but the rewards aren't very useful to me.

They used to have no restrictions. Now firearms don’t give you the “cash back “. Thanks for the video.

You got one part right you do have to spend $1, 250 but not in one month that's only two get enough cash back that you can actually redeem and that can be at anytime as long as it doesn't take you a year to make another purchase

Citi's customer service is pretty weak. Well, insulting. When you have a question that the automaton can't find an answer to in the script binder, they suggest a manager call you back within 48 hours. I'm not joking. You see, all of the customer service managers are in meeting each time you call. Fancy that. So very busy. They'll perhaps ring you if available on their own timeline, say, in about two days. Ever need to contact customer service? Move on from Citi.

Can u explain balance transfers to me, I don't get it.

Let's say you have an existing $1000 balance on a different card you wish you transfer to Citi Double Cash Back Card, you will be charged $30 by CITI once you transfer that existing balance. So the fee amount charged will always be 3% of the balance amount you're transferring to this card. Balance transfer amount minimum is $5. Hope this helps!

i think chase freedom unlimited is better 1.5% but you can redeem any amount plus you get 15 month 0 apr
