I'm only at the 2min mark of your video and that has given me more info than anyone else video about Blender. Thank you.

I had no idea how to create an asset. I watched this video, and now I've published several on the Workshop. Thank you!

Thanks for this tutorial and I absolutely love your mars series! Quick tip for your photoshop workflow: You can name every layer like "cwcw-simpleCubeGlowing_i.png" with the file extension and then enable Asset generation (File->Generate->Image Assets). That will create a folder wherever your psd is and automatically export every layer with the extension of the layer name. It can also do so much more stuff like resizing if you include "256px x 256px" in the layer name.

@@jasonw2128 Oh, definitely! It's kinda sad that they don't really mention it anywhere, at least not prominently. It's such an amazing and powerful feature, so it's really a shame.

Thank you for this tutorial. I've made assets/mods for Kerbal Space PRogram. Always used just the DIFUSE map. KSP also uses the other maps, which I've not made. Now I know about how to use those and why, my KSP mods will include them as well.

Thank you! I've been waiting and hoping for you to do a tutorial on how you make your assets. I absolutely love Kobayashi Island. My favourite part of your Mars series is that you changed the game entirely. I've been wanting to learn to create a few new assets based on buildings I see around my home, but had no idea how to go from Blender to Skylines. I've watched other tutorials but they generally skip over the details of the actual stuff needed to go from a detailed Blender model to a detailed Skylines asset. Thank you!!!

8:03 re: LOD. Create low poly assets by clicking on “correct face attributes” in the Blender Options panel. It’s a lossless way to lower vertices count and still maintain UV.

This is an great tutorial. I am totally over my head with my idea. I am trying to make an asset collection of modular buildings that can act as "wings" to elementary and high schools. I'm wondering if there are already created blender files that are reedy to be imported to cs?

Maybe next time, change your window scale, so people with smaller screens can read text on your screen and see which button you clicked xD

When I get to the import screen in asset creation, I select my model but nothing happens after (there is no way to continue, button is not highlighted) So I guess this doesn't work. I followed the directions exactly. I also fucking hate Blender.
