It's a time of great change; the end of the war has brought thousands of refugees to the shores of Auckton, and as the colony struggles to accommodate them, the crown has begun squeezing Auckton more and more to rebuild the Home Isles after the war. As tension mounts, all it would take is a spark.

Those ships must have beached for a while. Good spot to build a pier or reclaim land as ships are really good at holding land. San Fransisco might come to mind regarding old ships under modern buildings. There's also a ww1 era wreck in Keil, Germany that is under a neighborhood. Might also want to take a look at Mallows Bay during the later part of sail.

I'll be honest I'm less interested in the fantasy/dragons and swords aspect of it. I'm really liking the historic urban planning and 'city through time' aspect, and it fills the void of Franklin because you seem to have a good understanding of colonial history. I'm hoping we see it develop into a contemporary American city. I like the world building but only in the sense of the city as a (fictional) historic colonial city, I tune out when the dragons come in tbh
