Best way to make money with this new DLC is to cut the budget of say, industry, to as low as possible, wait for the stock to drop right down, buy all you can, then ramp the budget for it as high as you can, then once it hits it peak sell sell sell. Quite easy to make a few million every-time you do it. Good old insider trading

It's big for an office building. Yes, industry structures and unique factories are on a complete other level, in both size and cost - although, I will say, none of them have quite the towering stature that the Stock Exchange has when levelled up.

The 'Very Legit Company' in the investment screen is tied to your crime rate. Cutting funding to the police force, topical though it may be, is a good way to boost its stock price. All stocks which directly relate to a funded component of the city, particularly industries, healthcare and deathcare (as well as the airport stock, since I think it's based on land value of the airport as well as profits, both of which can be changed to tank it or raise it significantly), can be abused like this. A different channel showcasing it made a mediocre oil industry in a test city and essentially made 25 million in a day.

In City Skylines you are a super politician, so of course insider trading is legal! This insider trading is the most realistic aspect of the game! Besides using imminent domain to evict people from homes and businesses at will.

You can glitch money by taking down the budget of something and then buying and then putting the budget to 200 % and then selling you can make millions easily

This seems like a pretty neat addition. But I'm wondering how useful banks really are. Is crime that much of an issue? Cities I build tend to have more traffic problems than crime, which this doesn't really address. But they're nice to have from a builder's pov.

Yeah but you didn't realise the easy way. This is an example. Put your industry budget way down, and then buy Generic Industry Stock when it's now down 60%. Then put your budget back up or to 150% and you'll make a ridiculous amount of money, enough to upgrade the Stock exchange 3 or more levels.

Yes, that's kind of the point. It turns it into a financial district, which makes more money but decreases happiness.

@@ahuman4013 It decreases happiness because it gives them an extra tax. You could forego the tax revenue by not putting the offices next to the exchange if you want to avoid the happiness debuff. Or you could introduce something else that increases happiness in that district.
