Years ago when I was a PADI dive master this would have been a dream watch, so yes I had to get one and I put a stainless band on it. Yes they do make them.

Part of the reason for the skeletonised hands is also to allow max light o get at the smallish solar panel. There are so many hands on this model. The probability that the minute hand is continually over the "depth hand" is quite low and even if it was, you would know this as a diver. For instance on the BVN017608E 300m diver, the minute hand is also skeletonised in order to allow maximum light onto the solar cell. Be aware too that the "anti-magnetic" feature is in reality only for extremely low magnetic fields. For example, a small Nd magnet will cause a malfunction, so if one intends to do work with magnets or around magnetic fields, u should obviously remove this watch (or any watch for electrical safety). It's good that this model features a charge state because the last thing u want (if this is the only depth gauge u are wearing (unlikely if u are a serious diver) then u don't want it running out of juice on a dive.

Do you think the bezel is a bit too easy to move? I find through the day that it is in different positions from hitting the watch or rubbing it against things all day, like pants, or clothing in general, etc.

Do you know if there is any difference between the BN2029 & BN2024 models, both seem to be used to describe this watch. Was there an update of sorts? BTW great review.

Terrific review truly. I intend buying one. Am in India. Have asked Citizen AD to source me this BN 2024. I do hope the colours on the dial face I mean the black orange and blue show up really bright and fluorescent in real life. I your video they do look bright. Bless u. Cyrus

You fail to mention the slotted screws around the periphery of the case. What are they for? Next time: write a script and leave out all the superfluous stuff like your granny's phone dial. Stick to the essentials, stop saying "Ummm", and just read from the script. I wanted to thumb this down, but decided on no thumb at all.

My apologies, this is a very old review, and the reviewer is no longer with us. He did his job though at the time, and he did a review on his thoughts and feelings of the watch. Sorry they weren’t up to par with what you were looking for, I suggest you look at some of our newer reviews.

This watch is way too big for practical use. It's pretty much a basic diving computer, not a watch. Unless you actually dive I wouldn't purchase this.

Great watch! Has many total features that no other watch has at the price. Even better than its bigger brother, Citizen professional diver watch BN2029-01E!
