@juliodelgadillo8510 slow down, you're clearly a newbie jumping head first and overspending. Trust me, in 5 years you will have wished you saved up and studied and bought 5 nice watches rather than 15 okay watches. I did the same thing with many hobbies when I was young. Years ago I did the same thing with knives and guns and pens and other man hobbies. In each thing, I wish I would have spent the same amount of money but on like 1/3rd of the number of things I bought, if that makes sense. Lol, I did that same thing with jiu jitsu gis and boxing gloves when I first got into BJJ and muay Thai 10 years ago. I have like 20 gis but I wish I would have 7 very nice ones instead of like 2 very nice ones and a bunch of medium level ones. Same with gloves, I wish I had like 2 pairs of custom Winning brand gloves rather than 8 pairs of Fairtexs and other mid level brands. Stop where you're at and don't buy another for at least a year. One thing I've learned in every hobby I've been involved in is that your tastes mature and change as you continue. Things I thought were cool in the first year of the hobbies I eventually found to be corny or brash or crude a few years later.

@user-oe9mn8uw3c Ай бұрын
Why? If you have the cash and really enjoy it.
@Silence-and-Violence
@Silence-and-Violence Ай бұрын
@user-oe9mn8uw3c because if you continue in the hobby your taste will mature and develop and you will regret moat of the amateur purchases you made and wish you had fewer, better pieces instead of more, lower quality ones. Unless you're so rich that money almost doesn't matter, then do whatever you want. But most of us are only going to be able to spend so much money in a lifetime on any given hobby. So if I'm going to spend $10k on watches in my lifetime, I can tell you from experience with many other hobbies that most people will have preferred to spread $10k across 2-5 pieces rather than 20 cheaper pieces. The same is true for me and almost everyone I know who continued enjoying things like watches, pens, knives, firearms, etc.

So many brands who make more affordable integrated bracelet watches (CW, Tissot, Citizen, Direnzo etc) are missing a trick IMHO by not making 38mm versions. Its probably the perfect size for this type of watch for a lot of wrist sizes yet no one seems to have made one yet?

Citizen has been a major player in the watch world since the 70s - it's just been overshadowed by Seiko and Casio, but as far as I'm concerned, Citizen beats them both in many aspects (not all) and it was the first watch I ever purchased as a teenager 20+ years ago. This new release is no different, it punches WAY above its weight class and it's finished well. And since I'm here I'll also remind folks how Citizen was also the very FIRST watch brand to implement and utilize titanium (I'll stay away from mentioning Eco-Drive because we're talking automatics) cool video Max 👍

I own both a Tsuyosa (ice blue) and a PRX (dark blue), and while the Citizen is a really nice, everyday watch with great finishing and a beautiful bracelet, after almost a year it still didn't "click". Everytime I wear my PRX, I just can't stop looking at it. The stunning bracelet that shimmers in the light, the sunburst dial that ranges from an almost black tone to a breathtaking navy blue, the handset, the indices.... I feel like to me, the overall package is more coherent and pleasing for the eyes than the Tsuyosa's. Again, just my 2 cents. But it's interesting to see other perspectives and opinions - that's what's so great about our hobby after all! 🥰

For me the biggest difference between the two is not the movement, I don't mind quartz, but in fact the bracelet. Being an integrated bracelet watch I do think that's the most important part and the bracelet on the PRX is just better. It feels higher quality, the clasp is miles better, it looks better (imo) and that wrist roll is unbeatable for the price. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe Citizen (Miyota) does use plastic parts within the date complication on the regular Tsuyosa but I could be wrong.

Tsuyosa always should have been 36-38mm, but if it had to be 40mm I don't understand why they didn't use a daydate movement in it. I think with this model, Citizen is doing a cheaper version of the NC0200-90E "The Citizen". There are several differences including the caliber and finishing. But the Tsuyosa small Seconds is the poor man version of The Citizen, which is not bad at all. On the contrary, Citizen is bringing an accessible version to the general public of one of its more upscale watches.

I have the original Tsuyosa in Tiffany blue and really like it. The 3 things I don't like about it is the limited power reserve, the rather large spaces in between the links on the bracelet, and the difficulty using the small crown that's flush against the case. Considering I paid just under $300, I can't complain. This updated Tsuyosa has a much nicer looking dial, a better movement, and more power reserve. The bracelet looks the same though and the price went up $200. Comparing it to the PRX, I'd have to see them side by side.

The Quartz ETA F06.115 used in the Tissot PRX and Couturier is actually pretty amazing. I prefer Quartz, and the Powermatic 80 I’m sure will last many many years with little service, but I understand the complaints. Good that u have mentioned the synthetic escapement in the Powermatic 80 23 jewels movement, lots of people dont know that. It is an important factor. Luckily, many brands like Certina or Mido are Now using only Powermatic 80, the 25 jewels version, which does not have any synthetic material. Price is of course a factor, while Tissot can offer automatic watches around 650-750EUR with the 23jewels powermatic, Certina and Mido with the 25jewels powermatic offers from 750 and above. In addition to the dial texture (no real comparison there, for me Citizen wins hands down) and small seconds, I prefer the case design of the Citizen. Bought a blue quartz PRX 35, couple of years ago. To be honest I still like it very much, and even though many watches have come out since, I don't really feel as if I'm missing out. Also because the one I own has already scratched that itch. With Citizen, while a good value proposition, I don't fee quite sold on it. Don't like the crown placement, rounded shape, and sizing. The PRX has better, sharper design in my opinion, and it's Swiss made. The quartz version is beautifully slim, robust and has much longer life potential due to it's low maintenance and reliable movement.

This one's a swing and...well, *not* a miss, but more like a base hit rather than a home-run. Would I take it over a PRX? Certainly, but the PRX never quite set my boat afloat either. I agree that a 9000-series movement in a thinner case would put it over the top.

Wish it has 100m WR. 50m is a tad low to take it out for a swim (with confidence). Not a big fan of double butterfly deployment clasp, especially if your wrist is in between link sizes.

I have 2 Tsuyosa's and 3 PRXs. Trust me, PRX is way better than the Tsuyosa. Don't get we wrong, i love them both, that's why i bought them, but the PRX is better

Nope. The Tissot has a better case shape, and the Tissot name carries more cachet than Citizen ever will.

I think the Citizen looks great but the Tissot has the edge in the eye of the public if for no other reason than that more common folk have heard of Citizen than Tissot so Tissot gets a boost unearned for sounding more luxury.

@@codys5727for the same reason you buy Toyotas. The “brand heritage” is for reliability. And it’s true, they are very reliable. Other cars are reliable too but on average Toyota is the Most reliable. i.E. brand heritage is created. It’s simple man, simple

I love my Tsuyosa Tiffany blue (people mistook it for a Rolex OP) but it’s not close to my PRX in terms of quality and looks , they are two good watches at different price points
