I'm very glad you reviewed my favourite watch! Back then it took me a long time to research and finally ended up with this watch. I had this for years now and the Super Titanium did not show any scratch (the scratch really heals by itself). All your plus points you mentioned are the reasons I bought this (true GMT, super titanium, sapphire AR, eco drive, great colour, great price)!

Really nice looking watch that ticks a lot of boxes. Sadly could have done with a ceramic bezel, a lumed gmt hand and screw pins for the bracelet. The Japanese just refuse to get it all right in one package. I suppose that's why people pay extra for a luxury brand instead.

I have one of these with a black chapter ring with yellow GMT hand, and yes I got it from the JDM market. I think you mean that you have to change the capacitor and not transistor. I keep mine on the window sill to keep it charged. If the charge is low the second hand will skip to indicate charging is needed. It will still skip even after you charge it until you pull the crown out to the time setting mode and then push it back in. But that only happened once since I now keep it on the window sill. The chapter ring is a stadium style which adds an interesting feeling of depth. I have had mine for a year and so far not a single scratch. Yes all titanium watches feel this light. They are light but strong! Great review!!!

@@tomalophicon Sorry you are miss informed, but its a capacitor. The battery in an Eco-Drive watch is called a capacitor. Capacitors are a type of battery that recharge with light. They are designed to last a lifetime under normal usage conditions. However, they generally need to be replaced every 5-15 years. Google it lol. Thanks again for watching. Bought this watch. Like it. Price changes daily. So be vigilant. Sometime higher price includes shipping; sometimes lower priced watch excludes shipping. This bit about with and without shipping will change daily. Sometime second hand will hit on one side of dial and not other side. But, all said, great watch! Citizen, great service. Love eco drive.

@@DivingIntoWatches-jb5ri Arrived today all good with the QC. The second hand clocks properly spot on with the increments. Had to remove 3 links to fit my 6.5" wrist. It went smooth using one of those inexpensive presses, glad that i had the press.

@@RoyCHaven If you mean a Traveler GMT, this might be the cheapest option. For a caller GMT which is just as good and they are more affordable, I would look at the Seiko SSK003. Probably one of the most affordable caller GMT's you can get. Going quartz would be another option for a GMT and less money by a tad. I did a video on the Seiko SSK003. Also look at long Island Watch's "Islander" I know Mark makes good GMT's under his own brand.

I've never seen that version, I have several of Citizen's Eco-Drive GMT's, a couple of them are in titanium 'monocoque' cases, so no separate screw down case back, so everything goes into the case from the front. Great watches, nice and light and very durable with the 'Duratect' coating to protect the finish.

I travel a lot and this simple dial seems convenient. The only thing that would make it perfect for me is if there would be an option of Bluetooth, satellite or radio controlled since I like to have my watches on time to the second. Great review and great watch

I waited for about a year for an all blue Promaster GMT diver to hit Ebay. It was worth the wait. (There aren't three reasons why the Bulova is better than a Speedmaster. There are 7-thousand reasons)

Citizen’s is really upping there game and have been putting out some fantastic divers in the past few years. I recently purchased the NY0086 Fugu on bracelet from a friend used but in new condition and the NY0129 on bracelet from Amazon on a special invite deal for only $199 . The one citizen’s watch I’m really interested in is the Orcha on bracelet with blue dial and bezel . It’s a funky but really cool looking watch . Hey do you still plan on doing a video on your Proxima Scuba 🤿 Master watch ?

Since the hour hand can only move forward, how do you manage the date if you go to a time zone where the date advances and then you move back to your home time zone when you need to move the date back? Do you have to cycle through 29/30 days before the date gets corrected? I have been very curious about these Citizen GM movements but haven't gotten a clear answer from anyone when I have asked about the date function. Thanks again for the review!

You can move both hands or the hour hand if need be, and also just adjust the date also like a regular watch.

In 'true' GMTs, the date is changed by moving the independent hour forward or backward, so the date moves forward and backward correspondingly. You don't need to cycle through 30 days if you want to move the date back by a day when you cross time zones. Sounds like you need to do that to switch dates back in this case. Worse so, you have to do it every time since the hour hand only moves forward. Else if you change time by hacking which defeats the purpose of a GMT, the time sync is lost and you to redo the time sync. Doesn't seem to be a sensible design at all :( ?

@@DivingIntoWatches-jb5ri what I like about it is the practical design where the GMT time is in the stadium ring in contrast(white, separating it's function) and the divers timer function is in the rotating bezel. So there are three distinct functions: time keeping, gmt and divers timer all in contrast and separated making it less of of a conscious effort to search for it like in the all black face model. I am older, my eyesight is failing and my mind is getting lazy but I think it's a faster reference and more efficient layout.

Got mine from Sakura Watches in Japan. 1 big complaint, this is not a true GMT imo, the hour hand only moves forward for the GMT function, having to date adjust just makes it seem a little less like a traveller's GMT. Otherwise a great watch.

If you are moving forward with the hands more hours than your current time zone like crossing date line the hour hand will move the date forward with out having to to do it. I think all true GMT's are like that. I will have to do some research. I know when I move my hour hand past midnight it will change the date and not have to move the date separate. Coming back across a date zone not sure. Haven't tried it. Thanks for watching.

3:24 It's not actually a true GMT: although you can move the hour hand independently, you can only move it forward. If you travel east there is no problem, but if you return west you can no longer just change the time backwards.

There are only two types of GMT's traveler and office GMT's. This is a traveler GMT. You didn't state a watch that is a true GMT, I I just did a review on the MIDO Ocean Star GMT and it functions the exact same way as the Citizen, so I'm going to have to disagree on with you that is not a true GMT. @DivingIntoWatches-jb5ri. A true GMT lets you move the hour time forward and backwards. It's the one that pilots and frequent travellers use. Even when you go through midnight, it changes the date forward and backwards automatically. I understand that you only accept travellers and callers categories, and in this case, this watch(that I happily own) is closer to a traveller's model. But I think that here we can talk about a new category that is not a caller, but also not a full traveller model as Rolex GMT. Let's call it a half traveller or light traveller.
