ICU is my favorite Citizen Soldier song and probably always will be. Much love to you for shining light into such dark places. You are a good human, Jake. Thank you for that interview. And thank you for your vulnerability. The first song I heard from him was I am not ok, which opened my eyes to see that there was actually someone out there who knew what I felt but I had no words for. I was at a point in the last few weeks of throwing in the towel, my own family was like stop listening to those poor me songs! I tried to validate to them about Jake but if you’ve never been in that place you can’t understand. Tonight I heard Afterlife wow That hit hard! So hard I fell to the floor sobbing! Whenever I feel like I’m in that bad place that will be my go to song. I made my daughter listen to it because she was especially nasty to me the other day and I was ready to leave this world. She apologized and said it was a very good song and she wants me to talk to her anytime no judgement That’s an accomplishment Please keep your reaction videos to the songs, it shows I’m not the only sappy vulnerable person!! Hearing the reasoning behind the song Good Enough for God was wonderful. From what I'm going through it's definitely going to be one of my favorites from this album.

On the subject of the song "Good Enough for God," I don't really care if it's going to be controversial or not. I've been through various faith crisis myself and understand how dark, scary, and lonely of a place it is. The fear I felt, the abandonment, guilt, and loneliness, it almost drove me insane. Not to mention the constant hail storm of intrusive thoughts that enraged the self-hatred in me like never before. Luckily, even before I found Citizen Soldier, I managed to find some validation through a Christian Rock band called Red. They actually went on tour supporting Alter Bridge very recently. Anyway, I would highly recommend them if you're going through a faith crisis or if you just like Citizen Soldier. I honestly hope one day these two bands I mentioned collab, because it would just be awesome to hear the best bald man duo of all time. Nevertheless, can't wait for all of ICU, controversial or not.
