Yes allegiance and citizens are two differences. If you were originally from Ghana it's your place of birth you do not need allegiances or affirmative pledge an oath or any sort of pledging certificate unless otherwise talking setting office. However allegiance is natural at your place of birth it's setting respect of an agreement to obey. But when you travel allegiance it different, you acquire

Same as the U.S! I really don't understand Kwaku Asare's position. I have lived in American longer than Kwaku Asare but I chose not to take their citizenship. The permanent residency is good enough for me.
@AkubaCAB3 жыл бұрын
Ghanaians born outside of Ghana to Ghanaian parents are just as Ghanaian per the constitution as someone who is born in Ghana and then leaves to another country and becomes a permanent resident. So should the laws benefit the Ghanaian who is permanently resident elsewhere and penalise a Ghanaian who is born outside of Ghana? You are allied to your survival, we shouldn't be confused that you are not allied to the country under whose laws you spend the majority of your time and are most dependent on.
@yawos90243 жыл бұрын
@@AkubaCAB I agree with you about Ghanaians born outside of Ghana. They are also naturally born Ghanaians - and may be naturally born citizens of their country of birth. I think that is what the constitution should address. The British PM Boris Johnson had U.S citizenship because he was born in the U.S but he is naturally born Brit because his parents were Brits. He only gave up his U.S citizenship because he was being billed for taxes in the U.S. These scenarios aside, any Ghanaian who willingly discards his Ghanaian citizenship for another country's should not be allowed to occupy some sensitive positions. There is a reason America does not allow anyone born outside the U.S to be eligible to become President.

The are certain provisions in every country’s constitution. I know in Austria and Germany doesn’t allow dual citizenship at all. In America you may be a citizen of the country but if are not born on the soil of America you can not be a president of the country. Ghanaians should respect the provisions in their constitution until it changed by referendum!

What about persons born in Ghana to American citizens? Citizenship is only a concept that divides humans. Ones Citizenship can be altered by the individual, what right has the politician to refuse that individual?

Dual citizenship should allow one to vote but not hold government or political office. This should also include county of city government. However their children can if they are born in that country.

Dual citizens is the interaction between two countries, when it comes to dual or multiple citizenship, the words is devide: there are countries whose laws allow their own citizens to acquire another citizenship without losing their present one.

What are the policies and laws for dual citizenship for individuals to serve in public office? Knowing these Laws will allow an individual to decide if they can abide by them and serve in public office. Dual citizenship is for business opportunities and to have political access to the country's voting rights and opportunities to get involved with the countries affairs and views. Will Allegiance be a conflict of entrance without disclosure of your intentions in that country???

To become citizens in the particular country first will grant you right to live Indefinitely without restrictions; resident. Others get straight away where's some others depending your status must live In three or more years before you will be granted indefinitely to remain. After a setting years five or more years you are allow to apply citizenship. After you have citizenship the benefits of two passport or dual citizens you can work in both countries but under obligations you can't travel away or for more than six months within a year. And can only do so if only six months at a goal continuity for five years. After five coalition years no more allow six months. You then choose which country you would like your main. To void here and there. But if only visa passport you can be here and there as much as you want depending your visa limits.

Dual allegiance vs dual citizens: dual allegiance on other hand prefers to a situation in which person simultaneously owes, by some positive act, Royalty to two or more state. While dual citizens is involuntary, dual allegiance is the result of an individual's volition.

In another song of his, he is heard gladly encouraging young people to be reckless in their sexual pursuit even if they contract H!V A!ds and hepatitis B. For once, he should think of the impact that his lyrics are having on the youth......... Sarkodie needs to understand that if he wants his music to be timeless, he has to be mindful of the kind of lyrics he put in his music.... Sarkodie should not only think about money and clout...

It is very dangerous to have dual citizenship and hold position. Where is your allegiance? Ghana can not hold accountable if the person holds dual citizenship and yet hold position. No you can't do that. Example in Philippines you hold position in the government if the individual have dual citizenship. It is no no. Even the person will not attempt because the law clearly state as that. No no to dual citizenship position

Professor, your argument is baseless and unfounded, the constitution is well written by people with noble ideas whose objective is to lay grand rules to protect our country interest. The constitution of the United states does not permit her citizens to swear an oath to become a citizen of another country of choice. The indigenes who want to present their constituency ad an MP must fulfill all the mandatory requirements. First, one cannot claimed to be a Professor of law, whose aim is to attack the nation written constitution. One cannot submit a job application to a company without satisfying the criteria either indigenes or foreign.Follow instructions and abide the condition of employment as clearly stated on the form. We must respect Ghana laws, regulations and procedures to attain position . Shameful behaviour professor
