All true to My Memory! I did "Passivation" all over for a Co from Downey in the 90's it was all FDA "Food Grade" and this was Long before Woke and the earth heating Global Warming was a thing.

​@@polesstainlesspemula1541 I think there was a passivation paste with 13% HF but I don't know for sure. We quickly abandoned that process because of toxicity or outsourced it.

Yes, Nitric, Formic, HCL, Phosphoric them all, but Mostly Citric! depended on the job,customers need, time alowed, environment of job?

Can you explain for how much hours salt spray stands for after passivation ? Material Grade is SS 430.
