Citroen really did make some absolute beasts for the wrc. I was born in 2000 and when I was 4, for Christmas my parents got me a 1/14 scale RC Citroen Xsara WRC. Since then I’ve been obsessed with Citroen WRC cars. Even today, 20 years later, I love them!

The xsara is a evolution of the 306 , and yes is better and faster !!!! Is a monster of car ! Also it was used to development of the xsara wrc car with the T4 variation !

FWD cars can take corners Sharper than RWD because of how the FWD has a pulling effect Vs the RWD pushing you can also check it out on Google or something.

@@HillClimbMonsters I think the engine, the active differential and Traction Control is not close to what the Xsara Kit car had in that days. I think the electronic package was tailor made to that rally car,being very advanced at the time. Maybe it was one of the most expensive cars on the entire WRC circus, Piedrafita said the amount of money would be quite good even today to run a team and it was 27 years ago. That´s why this car was crazy special,all units where factory made and own with the best they can imagine and money could buy. That replica looks amazing.

The description says the full spec engine's power is over 300 hp at 9500 rpm. How can that be? I always thought the rpm limit of the F2 kit cars was 8500 rpm.

That RPM limit was only enforced after the Xsara Kit-Cars (like the one here on the video) won 2 rounds overall on 1999 WRC (Corsica and Catalunya) and they deemed them too fast on asphalt ( the weight limit was also raised from 960 to 1000Kg). Before that, both 306 Maxi and Xsara Kit-Car we very close, if not over, 10.000Rpm.

I think it is just based on the looks. They have the slanted engine.

Same platform, same engine, but different tunes including intake and exhaust layouts. Xsara was more advanced and ultimately, faster.
