It's unusual to have the ruby statue on the first challenge. Normally it's in the Old Pyramid.

Or in The Lost Cave, on the Tocat's Tomb challenge, but I think that this is the only episode where the Ruby Monkey statue is found in the baskets in The Dark Swamp....

Yea the ruby is usually never in any of the basket challenges this surprised me when I watched it on tv
