Description from Life Like:
"So Ryan went back to school and I was back to square one. Felt all 2008 in my head and City Center got asked to do a few shows in Chicago and Detroit as well as some hometown Ypsi ones. I thought about how far backwards you can go when you start solo, jam with one other person intensely for three years and then go solo again. Rather than regress completely to the loop-and-wail sounds of early CC, I worked on some of the songs we wrote for "Redeemer" in a solo fashion. Looped guitars, quiet vocals and some atmospheric samples, occasionally disrupted by straight up club-style drum machine hits. It's weird and somehow turned all of our uptempo dream pop into downer bedroom wash, but it's more like the core being revealed than the whole thing being flipped on it's head."
