I first listened to your original cover of this song a few months ago when I started watching City Hunter for the first time. I was really surprised how few covers of this song there were but yours was everything I’d hoped for. A few days ago I finished Shinjuku Private Eyes and I plan on watching the Netflix movie soon. Ryo and Kaori have become one of my favorite duos in anime, so I can’t express how excited I was to see this video in my notifications. I actually studied Japanese before too, but I haven't had many opportunities to use it in everyday conversation... I was looking for lyric videos just like these back then but I haven't really found a lot of them. Now that I create my cover songs, it's always on my mind. I want people who are studying Japanese or who don't understand Japanese to enjoy them as well, so I try to include captions with Romaji, Kanji and English translations. I'm happy if it can be a stepping stone for learning Japanese, like for you!
