It's an absolute tragedy that the Australians are taking a piece of our history , this ship should be restored & opened as a museum in sunderland where it was built.

Seen this happening from the Magnum Gym. Wonder what they will do with that big empty space, some say it will be a golf course. I also wonder if we will see her(The Adelaide) again.

Unfortunately that wasn't it leaving. It just moved to the other side of the bridge for a few more days of welding etc. It finally left on 20th Sept 2013 after having to abort the sailing on the 19th.
