City of Albuquerque Solid Waste - The Retired WHITEGMC Amrep Octo ASL - 995104

So sadly, my favorite unit, has been retired.... For quite sometime now, the City of Albuquerque, was allocated a grant, and which they used it to buy a fleet of new units. Ranging, from 2017 Peterbilt 320 McNeilus ZR's, and 2017/2018 Peterbilt 520 Amrep HX-450 N3 Diesels. So all the Volvo Xpeditor Octos have been retired and auctioned off, most of Autocar Xpeditor Wittke Crocodiles and New Way Mammoths have been retired and auctioned off, except for a small handful. This unit, 995104 surprisingly been auctioned to Burrtec Waste Industries. So that was neat to find out. Anyways, huge thanks to DJ for allowing me to film this beastly unit! I do have more stalk footage, I will post at a later date! Enjoy!

Sucks this truck died, arguably one of if not my favorite truck from these guys. The pto whine combined with the loud take off is a treat plus the street side exhaust was icing on the cake. Good pace to it as well. Shame to see them new-aging their fleet. Glad you were able to save some of the history of this yard

Very very nice David the good old Octo days I can only imagine back in 1999 when this truck first hit the streets no stupid EVR 2 Toters just ottos and Zarns I really hope I can film a long video of one of the Crocodiles and Mammoths before they are all gone

Thank you sir! Oh we had a sweet fleet back then! The Duel Engine Amreps, These! CCC Heil Rapid Rails, and Peterbilt 310 Maxon and Loadmasters! Shit even Peterbilt 310 Maxon Legal One FL's, and CCC IFL's! You better act quick! Their days are numbered any minute now, esp. with the new units sitting at Rush Truck Center.
