I lived here for most of my life, when my husband and I retired we moved to the Outer Banks of N.C. I haven't been back since. Thank you for that trip down memory lane!

It's a lovely place indeed, even though we didn't have a chance to fully explore it at the time on our way farther north, but we do plan to come back sometime and fill the gap.
