This crew was efficient-no slacking like some of the other videos I’ve seen out there. Nice job.

Never saw this video. Good job. I work with the driver a lot. He's awesome guy to work with. He's been around the industry a long time, and has thought me a lot.

Very nice to see the Compaction-Force. I like bulky waste compaction.

Awesome video! I love all the diversity in the stuff being collected. I don't think I've seen a video of a Mesa RL yet so thanks

great video! Just curious, why do the backup lights / beeper occasionally turn on when packing?

Nice I love leaches. Also, they probably don't but I'm jus curious, does Mesa still have those big MR EZ Pack Front Loaders?

Nah. Curbside Disposal picked up two and a few other rural haulers grabbed some.

The explosion of the TV tube did two things. First, it shook the truck at 2:36. Second, for a split second, the blast stopped the hydraulics as you can see the blade near the end of the sweep jerk forward before it raises up. This is from one large tube TV. Imagine if you loaded several large tube TVs in the hopper like this one... And we don't recycle scrap metal in this area? The stove at 7:00 could have and should have been recycled, the bed frames at 9:55, etc. People are so wasteful.. We are slowly migrating to mandatory recycling laws, long overdue.

That's a first that I've ever seen that happen. Perhaps because the truck was close to being packed out to begin with it resulted in that explosion? I'm suprised that a hydraulic line didn't rupture as a result of that much force being put on the system.

Judging by the fact both drivers seem unphased by it, it's probably a fairly common occurrence with the TV. These are all residents paying for a bulk pickup, they have separate appliance/metal pickups but it's on the resident to schedule that too. However, they do dump at RAD's transfer station who likes to divert obvious recycling from the loads so there's a good chance a lot of the metal gets pulled out there.

Watch the video again. Both drivers were needed to load that tv into the hopper at 2:17. The one guy who has the tarp pauses until the tv pops before continuing. The other guy operating the blade took a few steps back when the blade swept into the hopper so he knew what to expect. That is why they were "unphased". They expected a boom and got one.
