Temirtau is a city in Kazakhstan, located in the Karaganda region. The name of the city is translated from Kazakh as "Iron Mountain". The city-forming element is the largest metallurgical production in Kazakhstan JSC "ArcelorMittal Temirtau"
The city of Temirtau is a large industrial and industrial center of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The volume of industrial production in 2009 in value terms amounted to 265.0 billion tenge. Of these, 86% belongs to the metallurgical giant ArcelorMittal Temirtau (Karaganda Metallurgical Plant).
The main problem of the city is the environment. For many years, it has been holding a well-deserved first place among the dirtiest cities in Kazakhstan. In 2022 alone, the volume of pollutant emissions in the city amounted to 231 thousand tons, of which 87% is accounted for by ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC. Also, this city is notorious for the fact that in winter the snow in it is not white, but black.

В конце 22 - 23 годах была куча информации и о чёрном снега , о ЖКХ и авариях. Но, как только ушёл Миттал - весь хейт исчез. Что, проблемы кончились? Дай Бог, если так.
