No other album will ever encompass someone ripping out everything inside of them and putting it out for everyone to see as much as By the Throat did. I wish what happened didn't, addiction is hard to deal with, especially when someone is very analytic, and self-aware. Even in interviews when asked about his earnings "I had to feed my arm man..." It's 2019 now and still Eyedea is inimitable among any other contemporary artist, his talent puts others to shame.

Fucking sucks that this guy passed away... used to rock his albums and still do today... he could of really went far and changed this redundant world of hip hop we live in today. Big ups to Rhymesayers for keeping the dream alive. I was crazy into freestyling and made some great shit as a kid... but I could never find a group of friends like this that not only encouraged each other but elevated each other. All of my friends were envious of what I could do but never motivated me to pursue it. They started to be real douchey about it and try to make me feel embarrassed for being a white dude that raps. It eventually wore me down and I gave up on it. But everyone in my highschool knew my music... I wish I never gave up. Would be cool to find a group of people who are into hip hop.
